Had Thanksgiving Seconds....

Recommended Posts

....tonight. :) my mother in law wanted to have thanksgiving again so we ended up having left overs tonight. A couple ounces of turkey and some brocolli side dish of 1 oz. Just letting you know that it is possible to get thanksgiving seconds as a sleever. :)

I've had seconds and thirds and fourths, just not much at any meal. Pie and coffee too!

I've also walked my hiney off!

I am terrified... I ate some thanksgiving dinner, a couple of ounces of turkey and some stewed squash but I also had a couple of tablespoons of dressing and a tiny piece of pumpkin pie, not all at once but spaced out. Then I have been having left overs yesterday and today. No pie but turkey and squash and a little bit of dressing again. Not able to have my Protein Shakes like I should but this evening, I had gained two pounds. Still, since I had surgery on Oct 30, I have lost 25 pounds and a total of 35 since pre-op diet. I am sick with worry. Hope eating that dressing and such did not mess me up. I actually lost that extra two pounds with a stomach virus I had just prior to Thanksgiving. I guess, I need to chill and get over it! Right??

Yeah, i took a really good 6 mile suburbia walk with hills. Me and my dog had a great time with the sun on our backs and the wind in our hair. Really felt like I toned up the flab behind my knees and those 2 ounces of turkey from last night. Lol.

I think this was the first thanksgiving for a lot of us. I think I have done awe some compared to other years. My acid reflux is out of control. Taking tums , zantac and nexium. I think it's a matter of blowing it for me but eating smaller portions of rich foods like stuffing. My body is used to the same kinds of foods. Tomorrow I need to let my acid relfux heal. Guess I better do some googling. On the positive side down 52.5 pounds and down to a size 12from an 18/20. All amazing journeys have trials. Tonight mine is chewing enough tums. Lol Merry Christmas

Never weigh yourself at night it's the heaviest you'll be all day.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
