Surgery this morning and all is good. I'm sore and when I was in post op and woke up I had headache. I only used my pain drip a few times and then headache got much better. Mouth is really dry - ice chips taste really good.

I am 9 days post-op and I feel great. The glue on my incisions is gone, except for the largest one. No pain meds since day 3 (Tylenol). I'm still on full liquids but I've been trying puréed veggie Soups and I'm handling them well. I go to see my surgeon on Wednesday. Hopefully he'll move me to pureed food. I've lost 12 lbs. since surgery. My biggest struggle is getting my fluids. I know I'm dehydrated, but I'm trying to work on that. My mom is here and I haven't done a good job keeping track of how much I'm consuming.

So happy to hear everyone is doing well and staying positive! Keep up the good work!

Kinda looks like mine did. The outward signs go away and you will be feeling much better in a few days

It gets better. It took me a while to be able to drink more fluids. It gets easier with time. Don't push it. Do what you can.

Day 8 here post op. Off pain meds but still extreme dryness in throat. Drinking over 50 oz a liquid a day but assume with such low carb, my body isnt holding any Water.

Most exciting thing each morning is like a Christmas present stepping on the scale - this am 1.8 down giving 19 down since day after surgery (includes bloat form surgery - but awesome)

gosh - i hope you are ok... I am concerned for you with all that bruising!! Mine looked more like Lynkaye1 - only the "slits" where they went in.... and vomiting blood sounds worrisome - I hope everything is ok for you!

The surgeon said they hadn't seen anyone bruise like that before. So I guess I'm a weirdo. ;) They are fading, and truly don't hurt. I figured it wouldn't hurt to put my picture up so in case it happens to someone else, they will know it's okay. :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
