  1. Diva, sorry took so long to get back to you. The first two weeks was rough, I was back in the hospital a week after surgery for dehydration. But I'm 2 weeks out and feel more like myself, pain free and down 25 pounds. What I can say about surgery is there is no pain as far as the incisions go, but the one thing I couldn't deal wit is the GAS. GAS FROM HELL!!!!! You can feel it moving but it wouldn't come out. They tell you to walk but your so weak and tired, but I'm glad I did it. When is your surgery?
  2. Diva I was sleeved Fri and I'm home Saturday, fast right? What I can say for me was the nausea from the morphine was unbearable, the gas pain is awful, still have a lot of gas that's aggravating ,other than that I'm in bed sitting up

  11. FOUND out I was approved today, and went for pre surgical testing literary 30 min after getting approval, scheduled for Friday.
  12. Congrats Diva, I found out I was approved today too, and having surgery Friday, good luck to those still waiting
  13. I can't believe it,I'm such a pessimist, and its been a long 8 MONTHS, I'm so happy to get this over with. I know this joy will turn into nervousness tomorrow. I'm scheduled for Jan 25th, share in my excitement, any advice on pain, what to bring, help please... anyone in the NY area going to SURGERY on Friday?
  14. HI I AM ALSO HAVING MY SURGERY AT METHODIST, RED CHARMS HOW DID THE STAFF AT METHODIST TREAT YOU, AND WHO WAS YOUR DOCTOR?
  15. I submitted to insurance on Jan 17th waiting for approval, I'm a pessimist, so I'm anxious, GOD is good and will see us through
  16. I'M 27 AND I'M FROM BROOKLYN AS WELL, I HAVE MEDICAID, I STARTED MY PROCESS MAY 2012 AND I JUST SUBMITTED TO INSURANCE ON JAN 17TH, I COULD HAVE HAD IT A FEW MONTHS EARLIER BUT I STARTED MY NUTRITIONAL VISITS LATE, I WOULD SUGGEST MAKING THAT A TOP PRIORITY BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO BE SEEN EVERY 4 WEEKS FOR 6 MONTHS, THAT TAKES THE LONGEST TIME AND IS THE MOST IMPT . YOU NEED TO GET BLOOD WORK DONE, CHEST XRAY, EKG, ABDOMINAL SONOGRAM, PSYCH CLEARANCE, PFT TEST, ENDOSCOPY,SLEEP STUDY,MEDICAL CLEARANCE AND NECESSITY LETTER, AND 6 NUTRITIONAL VISITS. I'M HAVING MY SURGERY AT METHODIST WITH DR CARRYL
  17. Congrats, good luck, I'll be having my surgery at Methodist 12/12, pending approval from insurance
