How are you doing post-op?

Did you have to travel much back home? I have a 3 hour flight back home.

We had a 3 1/2 flight plus 2 hours on runway due to ice.
I am doing good. Difficult to get water in had it go into urgent care for IV about 10 days Home

Have them leave the IV in until the day you leave. They take them out the night before. I also had bad headache probably due to anesthesia. Wish I would have had liquid Tylenol with me.

This is it (: IVd and moments away for the big show

Hi All,

I had my surgery with Dr. Rod almost three years ago (April 16, 2015). I was extremely happy with my experience with Beliteweight and Dr. Rod and his team. I have had zero issues from my surgery and am still down over 100 lbs three years later.

Beliteweight was so easy to work with. They set everything up from start to finish aside from booking a flight if needed. Jessica is the bomb. She called after I got back and checked up on me and still emails me from time to time.

I experienced a lot of concern from my family and friends about going to Mexico for my surgery and I will admit I was a bit scared myself. But you are never really alone while you are there and the hospital is very secure. There was a bit of a language barrier with some of the nursing staff but there is always someone around that speaks English to help out. Dr. Rod and his team have a great bedside manner and put me instantly at ease. My daughter went with me and was allowed to stay in my room with me the entire time. The only time she wasn't with me was in surgery or while getting testing done.

I flew to El Paso and was picked up at the airport and taken to Juarez straight to the hospital on Wednesday. I had my surgery on Thursday. I was taken back to El Paso to the airport on Saturday morning. There were storms from El Paso to Moline and our flight was delayed. We spent 8 hours in the airport in El Paso then flew to Moline, IA and had an hour and a half drive home. It was brutal - hard to find jello or broth in an airport lol but I survived. We got home about 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. I was back at work on Monday (I have a desk job).

I did have to have my gallbladder out about 10 months after surgery but this is not uncommon (not an emergency situation).

So if you are on the fence about Dr. Rod or Beliteweight - don't be. They are both great!

HI, is there anyone who has recently gone to Dr. Rodriguez? I am going through BeLiteWeight and am trying to get everything together to have surgery around Labor Day this year. I haven't seen many recent posts about Dr. Rodriguez and BeLiteWeight and also wanted to hear from people who have gone through the surgery and used BeLiteWeight as a facilitator. Any info would be a huge help!

EFree - It's been three years since I had my surgery with Dr. Rod but if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them. Who is your facilitator at Belightweight? I had Jessica and she was great (I'm sure they all are).

I just had gastric bypass with dr Rodriguez in January. I would be happy to talk.
