I literally almost spit out my Water when I read this...love it! For me:

  1. yup, the skinny sex would be nice
  2. paying less for clothes
  3. being able to fit more clothes in a suitcase when I travel
  4. my flexibility back - I was more flexible at a smaller size (see #1)
  5. more energy
  6. people not recognizing me (I'm really social so it would be fun to spark up a conversation with friends I haven't seen in a while and them not realize its me at first)

-Shopping in regular stores

-Walking more then a block with out getting winded

-Not sweating!! This might be the number one thing!! Lol

-SHOES! Especially boots!!

-Keeping up with people when I walk

- Fitting in a single seat on the bus/train

- Not being afraid to fly because you think you might be asked to buy two seats

- Amusment park rides- though I have a horrible fear of heights anyway lol but just to be able to if I want to

One week until all these things will become a reality for me!

Yesss! Have very similar looking forward to not having to be so self conscious about oh now I'm not even gonna try going on that ride for fear of the embarrassment of the seat belt not fitting or the over head thin not locking ;( ... And sittin comfortably in booths at restraunts && yes BOOTS!!! It's the small things ohhh and hell Yeahhh cheaper prices I love my torrid ! But that place does damage to my card lmaoo. So being able to shop at stores for cheaper prices ahhhh seems so crazy that all this can be possible very soon! I get sleeved dec 15 and I'm so excited!!! However my top reason is in hope that with weight loss I will begin my period sadly I'm 20 and have not had that yet I have done several test checking for parts and test seem to give no negative answers but really no answers at all. Nothing seems to be abnormal hormones are fine parts are in place it's just not happening I am hoping and doctors believe in this loss I will kick start it! This means so much to me as yes I am young no children are not on my mind right now but definely in the figure I absolutely love kids an the thought of this not being possible scares me and gets me so down .. I am praying this helps.. I'm overall so excited to start this new chapter ! Hopeful :)

Good luck! Sending positive thoughts your way and I hope your able to have a regular cycle after surgery! From what I've heard surgery is a life changer, many people with PCOS (not sure if that is your issue or not) have been completely cured of it. Sending you good thoughts!

Being able to buy clothes at Garage Sales and Resale shops. The selection is usually better in small to medium sizes. if you were a size 20 or above you can usually forget about even looking.

-Looking younger - I look way older than I think right now

-Not sweating

-Keeping up with people when I walk

-Being able to keep my house in better shape

-Enjoying my family more - not just "watching" life

-Feeling confident again

Just being able to fit in the world again. In booths, in the little turnstile gates to get into businesses, in those horrid waiting room chairs.

I've never been a clothes horse, I like shoes but generally just wear the same pair over and over.

But I want to buy a cheap office chair and now wonder how many weeks it will last before my fat ass breaks it :)

Oh and I want to jump and actually come off the ground :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
