I have always wondered if you could get unflavored Protein. Please tell me where I can get some?:help:

http://www.unjury.com

unjury is my favorite. The unflavored has little or no odor and no flavor. There are flavors available and the chocolate is great. You can get samples so you're not stuck buying a great big tub full and then not liking it.

I buy Egg Beaters in the 3-pack because each of those is exactly 4 ounces. So on the weekends, I spray a saucepan with Pam, pour one of those in and just a little skim milk, salt and pepper. Cook it on medium high and stir it constantly. You'll get wet scrambled eggs...and if you add a piece of 2% American cheese, you can get a little extra Protein. It's quick and easy.

On the weekdays I struggle with Breakfast. I am not a morning person and will not get up in time to cook anything, no matter how simple. I like to take some whipped yogurt with me to the office or a really ripe banana. Or both.

I'm going to look for those frozen scrambled eggs someone mentioned though because I didn't know they made such, and it sounds like a great option.

Hello,

I like to eat something hot in the morning. It feels more like eating if it's hot!;)

My favorite is instant oatmeal with small handful of walnuts.Nuts are VERY good for you..don;t be scared of fat content(unless you sit and eat the whole bag) the banana bread oatmeal w walnuts or cinnamon roll oatmeal w the nuts are FABULOUS and keep me sooooo full that i could easily skip lunch if i wanted to! I usually will have some kind of Soup, homemade veggie or chicken and veggie or beef veggies(i think you get the pic!)

I have been banded for 4 years.I am 5'2 and started at 232,i am down to 160.I never gained anything back and have never had a hint of trouble w my band.It has been a major learning process.i need to lose 35 more lbs and only need to incorporate exercise to lose the rest,my eating habits are +++healthy most of the time but i do not ever deprive myself. If i want it, i eat it, but not 2,3,4 portions of whatever.ex.1 slice of pizza(no peperoni, who needs all that fat and grease,i will order the veggie(what else!)

oopps back to breakfast,my other choices for b-fast usually include 1 whole wheat toast with a fried egg( teeny bit of butter in a non stick pan)slap your 'coco' on there,a slice of cheese wrap it all up in a napkin and you are good to go.

I avoid fake or fat free food cuz they tend to taste gross and do not satisfy at all.I don;t usually eat any Protein bars or shakes either, never have.I prefer real food!!I eat small portions of regular food, much like 'normal weight' folks!;)

sometimes (this was Alexandra idea from years ago) I will eat my Soup for b-fast and the oatmeal or egg at lunch ect...

I could eat anything and everything right after being banded. At first it was only a nibble, as time has gone on the amount has grown to a very small dish. The only thing that gives me trouble all the time is dry white meat chicken, if I do not chew it to death it sticks like a golf ball. So it is chew, chew, chew and I can enjoy the food in very small amounts. I love going out to dinner with family and friends now. I get to take leftovers home in a bag instead of eating all my friends leftovers as we sit and talk.

One easy thing I have for breakfast is the Dannon Crave Control yogurt (they add Protein and Fiber to it) and then I add some grapenuts for crunch... it's very filling and yummy and FAST!

I just discovered Pillsbury cheese, egg, and bacon scramblers, and only 180 calories.

As for Protein, due to the controversy over soy, I use the rice Protein, has a little nutty taste. I add low car orange juice, lots of ice, a few frozen strawberries and 1/2 a banana. A healthy breakfast and desert all in one. Sometimes I have it in the evening with a little Vodka, hehehe.

I am a big fan of yoplait light yogurt with some grapenuts added in. Yummy! I also like a packet of maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal. Most of the time I can only eat one or the other, there are days though that I eat yogurt when I first get to work then maybe oatmeal 3 hours or so later. ( I don't eat lunch until after 1 or so) On the weekends I don't really eat breakfast though, I always seem to either be sleeping in or too busy!

My favorite thing to eat for breakfast is a package of instant oatmeal, a small fruit cup usually in light Syrup or pear juice, and a two tablespoons of fat free pineapple cottage cheese. Mix it all together and throw it in the microwave for about a minute. It is so delicious and fulling.

i believe oatmeal could possibly stretch our stomachs but you wouldn't be able to eat enough to do it.It fills up quick and then presto! You are set until lunch.

I get in trouble with eating at night if i don;t fill up during the day.

EAT YOUR BREAKIE!!:)

(oh and exercise sigh.....)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
