I'm gearing up for pureed/mushy food phase on Thursday. I think my mind is rattled from being on liquids for so long.

I'm looking for mushy protein-rich foods that I can incorporate into my diet. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Fat Free refried Beans mixed with 1/8 of a cup of shredded parmesan cheese is really good. Lentil Soup pureed in a blender is also good. Finely chopped egg salad mixed with light mayo & the same with canned chicken-make chicken salad. Those things got me through!!! Good luck!

egg beaters is good - it sounds silly but if you cannot yet eat veggies, juice them and add the juice to the egg beaters! You can make a really good spinach "omlette" that way.

Caviar is good.

chicken in a can worked for me, roast beef too.

Imitation and real seafood - she crab Soup blended in with imitation crab was smooth and tasted very good.

I hought I would try gerbers graduate meat stick, i used to eat them only 110 calories and 10 g of Protein. A jar has 2 1/2 oz. i ate about 5 of the 6 sticks and it was TOO much. I had not felt restriction until now. Not pleasant. Will eat MUCH slower next time

I also had fat-free refried Beans - I used shredded low-fat cheddar, some salsa anad a small dallop of low-fat sour cream with mine. Careful with the carbs though - they can add up with Beans.< /p>

Had lots of canned chicken and tuna - added low-fat mayo and pickle relish.

Cottage cheese and yogurt (check out Yoplait's 2X Protein!) are easy and high in Protein.

The Protein shakes are a good boost of Protein when you need it.

I "mushed up" the meatloaf, gravy and mashed potatoes from a SmartOnes frozen dinner. That was pretty yummy - and easy!!! I divided the meat, gravy and potatoes into 2 perfectly proportioned meals - about 1/2 cup each.

oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, Malt O Meal are good but again, watch the carbs......

Good luck! It's a nice step up from liquids :)

I don't understand how it is I ate 6 ounces of the tuna salad (starkist) in the pouch. It filled me up, but didn't get sick or have pain. I lost track and kept eating. This worries me. Now I don't want to eat the rest of the night, even though it was only 200 calories., and I only had a 90 calorie Protein shake this morning. Anyone else able to eat that much?

I have to weigh out all my mushies. I'm finding that I'm good with 4 oz, but can squeeze in 5-6 if I'm not careful. I can't seem to get over 500 calories a day. I know we're trying to lose but it seems too low.

Cherry-be careful-if you eat too little-your body will go into starvation mode & not lose as much.

I know :-( I only lost two pounds this week and have been really tired. I just can't get any more in.

This is a great idea! What other frozen Entrees can be mushed up? Going back to work next week and would make life easy.

Sounds delish! Curious about Protein, carbs and fat. I suppose dividing the meal in 1/2 makes it pretty affordable -nutrition-wise. Sodium must be high, though like most frozen meals.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
