Hey PRE-Banders...!

What (other than health reasons) are you looking forward to the most after you jump on the "Band Wagon"?

Me - I'm looking forward to wears boots up to my knees! I have a hard time know with my calves, and I can't wait to find any pair of boots I want and buy 'em, because I know they'll fit! :wow2:

I look forward to being able to get pregnant and looking CUTE when I have my baby belly - not just FAT.

I look forward to wearing clothes which don't come from a plus sized store!

I look forward to being able to walk and exercise without worrying about my asthma!

Iknow this sounds silly, but I can't wait to have bra and panty sets that match. You know, the really cute ones with flowers or lace or at least pretty colors instead of boring beige or white bras and whatever pair of panties was in the drawer. I really want ones that are cute sets!

Me too! I can't wait to buy that lacey sexy stuff in the big department stores instead of the unsexy granny stuff I've had to wear and order out of catalogs all my life (no offense to all the grannies out there...:) )!

I'm so excited. I went to my seminar Saturday, I have all my paperwork filled out, now I'm just waiting on my appointment date to have consultation. I am going to a support meeting tonight, I can't believe I'm on my way to being banded!

I'm looking forward to tucking my shirt in my jeans, my thighs not rubbing together making the swish swish noise when I walk, not counting the heat rash I get in the summer.

I'm looking forward to someone saying, you look good! Or, you don't need to loose any more weight, or calling my skinny!

I'm looking forward to shopping in the regular sizes, and buying some "low rise" jeans! Maybe even a cute midriff shirt (yes, I'm dreaming big).

I'm looking forward to tying my shoes without needing an inhaler.

I'm looking forward to crossing my legs like a real woman, not like a man.

I'm looking forward to hearing the men whistle at me again - haven't had that in YEARS.

There are so many reasons I am getting the lap-band, and yes, some of them are for vain reasons, but my health is the number one reason.

Hi,

I can't wait for the day that my back won't hurt as much. getting this weight off will help alot. no having to wear plus size clothes will be great too. just going shopping will be fun again. but the altimate is feeling better and of course looking better also.

Wishing you all good luck in your weight loss journey's:biggrin1:

One thing that I'm looking forward to when loosing weight; being able to take advantage of all these AMAZING after holiday sales on clothing.

Do you know how torturous it has been, being out shopping with my Mom all week and not being able to buy anything for next Christmas to wear? I mean, I can't even GUESS at what size I'll be. I passed up an awful lot of UNDER $10 items I'd normally kill for to buy in my CURRENT size. I only bought shoes. lol:girl_hug:

Sweetheart, enjoy those shoes while they fit because they won't for long! Yes, even your feet will most likely shrink. I've gone from a 9/9.5 to a solid 8.5 - and I'm only 2 months post-op! It's great to buy things on sale but it's also a great feeling buying something in a misses size at full price BECAUSE IT FITS!!!!

I can notice the difference when I wear heels too!

Congratulations on your decision and good luck! :)

oh-what a great question! let's see....i can't wait to:

~be a healthy mom and wife

~be a hottie mom and wife lol

~cross my legs without them going numb

~wear cute undies and bras

~coach my sons soccer team

~be able to wear those cute victorias secret sweat pants!

~be able to walk by lane bryant cuz their stuff is too big for me

~be happy with my weight instead of ashamed of it!

is that too much to ask?!

GET OUT!?? I'll loose weight in my feet as well? I can't even imagine giving up my shoe/boot collection! Heck no! Guess I'll be buying alot of inserts for them to make them fit! lol

I'll have to find out about a clothing swap on line....

YEP!!!! Manolos here you come!

I can't wait to be able to take my son to Splashtown or to the public pool and not be in a full winter outfit in the summer! Also, I have already cut up the Lane Bryant! Mall here I come.

My health is my #1 reason for this surgery.

And of course everything else that goes along with that.....riding bikes with my kids, hiking, cross-country skiing, when the kids ask to go to the local swimming pool,

I will say YES every time and not make up some lame excuse. Wearing one of those cute baby-doll strappy tops all the skinny girls wear. Shopping for clothes without sobbing in the dressing room. I'm 4'11" and nothing looks good when your 200 lbs.

My husband's favorate "positions", and keep it going without leg cramps! You get what I'm saying.

Actually getting out of the boat, go down the ladder, proudly showing my new little behind to go swimming at the lake.

My first thought naturally was to get into a lower size. I am currently in a 20. My goal right now is to lose 6 more lbs which would bring me to 1/2 way to goal 41 total. I will then look to see what it will take to get to a size 18. I think it will take me a long time to do that as I am a slow loser. Once I lose 41 more lbs I am going to research plastic surgery. I can't wait to have a tummy tuck and lipo done. That should bring me into a size 16 and possibly a 14 again. That would be so cool!
