  4. Hello~~ Well it's been a couple of months since i wrote my last blog...The weight loss has been slow but sure. I am eight pounds from my first goal of 150 LBS.I still cannot believe I am so close. I have lost a total of 75 LBS. went from a size 20 to a 10 in jeans. Thought I would never get there but DONT say never! If you stay positive and work hard it can happen. I have been exercising three to five times a week and really watching my sugar intake. So I basically eat like I am diebetic, but I'm not. It seems to be the easiest way for me to lose the weight is but watching my sugar intake and eating only good carbs. I hope to be back to tell you that I have reached my goal weight of 150 pounds. WooHoo for me...it's the best thing that I have done for myself!

  8. Today is my 3 year bandiversary, and I am feeling fantastic! My starting weight was 233, today my weight is 175. 58 LBS. gone for good! I have 25 LBS. to goal. This is my year, I am going to get there. I have had no complicatons what so ever, and I am very thankful for that. The only real problem that I have had the past two years is going to nuring school and putting all my enery towards my education that the eating and band way of life kind of went to the wayside, but I am almost done with school. since January, I have gotten back on track and have been doing well. From one year ago my weight was up 2 LBS. so I will take that! I walk on the treadmill and do wii fit one hour a day which has helped out tremendiously with the weight loss. My back also feels so much better, so well worth it. I am still loving my band and feel it's the best thing that i have done for myself. I would do it all over. My blood preasure is even very good it went from 145/100 to 117/70...almost can say good bye to the medication...that in it's self is so well worth it, and the added benefits are all the nice compliments i get and just over all feeling better about myself as a person. Congrats to you all and keep up the great job.....

  11. thanks for the kind words..... I had another 1.6 LB. loss for the week so yeah very much worth it! Congrats on your banding and good luck on your journey
  12. I have been keeping on track very well the past month. I lost 12.8 LBS for the month of January, WooHoo! I have been working out one hour a day for 5-6 days a week. i have so much more energy, i love it! I will be coming up on my three year bandiversary, so I will be seeing my Doc. in a couple of weeks, i am hoping to get a fill, it's been over a year, I am 28 LBS. from goal. I am so ready to be there. People ask me"would you do it all again" and i quickly respond with, " yes! without the band I would be at my starting weight plus more. i love it!" it does work, you have to know how to use the band it's only a tool and exercising is another very important piece to burning the fat and keeping it off. I am not to goal yet but I am so loving life so much more, it is all so worth it. Thanks to my friends on here without your support it would be so much harder.

  17. I said I would post today my last weigh in... well.. it did not go as I had hoped, but I am ok with staying the same, I guess it's better than gaining. I was going through my weekly weights since being banded, and this is what i came up with...... Feb. 2007~~~ banded~~~~ 233 LBS. Feb. 2008~~~1 yr. ann.~~~ down 66 LBS. Feb. 2009~~~2 yr. ann.~~~down 59 LBS. Feb. 2010~~~3 yr ann~~~ down 58 LBS. From 1 yr. ann, to 2 yr. ann. i had gained a total of 7 LBS. I guess that is'nt bad. I am hoping for my third year ann. to be close to 59 LBS. gone . Well i was close 58 LBS. down! I am so Happy!!

  19. Well tomorrow is my last weigh in for the month. Monday's are my weigh in days, I started doing that after I would weigh myself daily and if I did not lose I would be so discouraged and of course start eating. From experience, do not weigh yourself daily it will set you up for failure. Hopefully tomorrow i will be out of the 180's! Will let you know. It's been a good weekend, not even one cheat. Till next time, Keep motivated and stay strong for this long ride  It will be worth it in the end.
