  1. Went to my doctor on Friday, I got weighed and measured (height) I have a BMI of 40.6 so I should qualify for the lap band surgery. WooHoo!!!! Waiting to go to my seminar in Willmar on the 28th of November looking forward to that. My husband will be going with me. He's getting used to the idea of me getting the WLS surgery done. Thank heavens. I can't wait!
  2. Hi, I can't wait for the day that my back won't hurt as much. getting this weight off will help alot. no having to wear plus size clothes will be great too. just going shopping will be fun again. but the altimate is feeling better and of course looking better also. Wishing you all good luck in your weight loss journey's:biggrin1:
  3. Hi, I would like to know If anyone has had a BMI that was so close to 40 and how it was for the insurance to cover them. The problem I have is that I have a BMI of 39.1. and they want it to be at 40 to be qualified . I'm so afraid of being rejected. I finally made up my mind to get the surgery and It would be a great let down. I have two herniated discs and bad vains and High blood presure that I take a med for. I wonder If that will be enough, I hope so, because it sure is alot to handle for me:mad: I would appreciate any info, thanks:confused:
  4. Hi, Could anyone tell me what all goes on when you meet with the psychologist Dr.? I have my evaluation on Dec. 8th just curious what will go on. Thanks
  5. Hi, I'm form Minnesota, First of all I would like to say this is an awesome site, lots of info here. I am considering the lap band surgery, my BMI is 39.9 I was just diagnosed with hypertention, chronic low back pain and R hip pain, probly because I carry my weight all in the hips and buttock area. but anyway, I have lost weight and it always seeems to find me, I'm sick of that! I am scheduled for an information meeting in Willmar on Nov. 28th. I really would like to get it done but this is the problem I have, My sister had the gastric bypass surgery done and she has changed so much for the worst I mean, she is going through a divorce, addicted to cigerettes and alcohol. My family blames it on the surgery, so I don't want to let anybody know I am considering the lap banding because I'm afraid they won't be 100% supportive, So It's a touchy subject, but I know I need to do something, I just can't keep the weight off! I would appreciate any feedback from you wonderful people who have been there and experienced It first hand. Thanks.. have a great day!! Minnesotalady:tired :help:
