Thanks guys! Just help me pray I dont miscarry!

Sonia I have been experiencing that chix doesnt go down either with me unless its fried chix! hehe but yes, that darn ice cream is so easy! without hardly a fill I have been able to eat more and bigger bites. Sometimes I forget and look at my spoon and see the huge amount that I am about to shove into my mouth and think "what the hell am I doing?" lol This whole lap band think can be a pain in the ass at times!

Gratz on everyones losses! You guys are doing great!

Hi Everyone

Wow!! I haven't posted since MAY.

Congrats Raynie, I am so happy for you.

I have been stuck at the same weight for months! I know I shouldn't be upset or complain because its my own doing. I haven't worked out in forever. I am down 50 lbs but would LOVE another 25 by my bandiversary (I'm so clever sometimes I KILL ME).

I have been having a tough time with many foods, esp chicken, forget potatoes.

Well, its time to get back on track and go back to basics.

Keep up the work everyone, you are all doing so great!

I haven't posted in months, simply b/c I have been on a roller coaster. I am at 8cc's in a 10cc band and I am SOOO TIGHT! The only thing that I can eat that makes me feel good is a can of tuna with a ton of mayo. In the evening I can eat, but Breakfast and lunch forget it! The thing is I am not losing even though I can't keep much down. Is this the sweet spot? It doesn't take much to fill me up at all. I now see how people said that they take three bites and can't eat any more. Everything seems to hurt or maybe I need to pulverize my food better cause like I said the tuna works for me. I just need something to keep me away from the sweets...at least its not twix in the afternoon anymore...its m&m's

Woo hoo - lets get this party started! I'm scheduled for surgery Oct 8th! I'm in the middle of all the testing now, and don't expect any problems, plus I'm self pay. My fee includes 16 weeks membership at our local gym, which I thought was cool. The AP band as well, thank goodness. Where are you located?

Hi Everyone - It is a great day to catch up on post reading! My weight loss has slowed this summer considerably (still at 245) 47 pounds down total. I am ready to get back on track, and am thinking a fill may be in order soon. I just returned from a cruise to Cabo - visted too many cantinas & ate WAY too much food. It is Time for eating healthier & starting to move more! My husband has been irritated lately that he is gaining since I am giving him my food leftovers when we go out to eat! Not good. I am encouraged by everyone's progress, committment, & support! October will be here before we know it - My goal is to lose 25 more pounds before my bandiversary! Keep up the AWESOME work everyone!! You CAN do it!

It's been quite a while since I visited let alone posted anything on the site so I thought to revisit the thread where it all started. It's good to see everyone doing so well, congratulations to all! Raynie, congrats on the pregnancy!

:update:

I have been going through a lot of changes good and bad. One of the good ones is being truck drivers (My hubby and myself)! Total change from Corporate America but It's been really fun and has brought us closer together etc... The bad is that I have gained the 40+lbs that I lost since surgery:cry. I'm aware of why this happened for ex. my routine with my food and exercise totally went out the window, I started snacking & eating more sugar laden high calorie products(lattes, frappuccinos, cakes, donuts etc..) to top it off no exercise whatsoever. It came back so quick with these things and it made me realize that the band is in fact only a tool to "assist" ME in losing weight and that I refuse to be a band failure so I've since regrouped, taken notes of what needs to be done and taken the steps to do 'em! One: of course was to come back here for encouragement, help & support (we didn't have a computer on the truck so it's been tough but we're getting a laptop very soon):whoo:Another is to make exercise a priority (I cannot succeed without it) and make it part of our schedule as we go along on our trails, also stop the snacking and the "quick" high calorie foods and shop in advance for good quality foods to have in the truck such as the little cans of tuna & salmon with the pop tops very convenient, yogurts and cottage cheese, oatmeal & canned chili (we got a microwave on board) etc.. (any other ideas or suggestions would be helpful & definatlely appreciated but this is a start in the right direction cause so far I've lost 3lbs and we just started doing this about a week ago:clap2:)

Thank you all for your time and happy trails!:)

hi everyone, haven't posted in a month, keep saying that i will and don't. i joined weight watchers 3 wks ago, I thought that this would help me stick to healthier eating because it would hold me more accountable, and it actually has, it's been slow (5#) but at least it's not staying the same. I'm happy with what i have lost since having the band i just want to lose more. my goal for my bandaversary is 30# more.

Toqu - wow, it sounds like you are way too tight. The sweet spot should not make you only be able to eat one food - and get sick on it at that. I would talk to you dr and discuss the possibility of a slight unfill. You never know, it could make all the difference!

It seems like we're all in the same boat! My weight loss slowed to about .5 lb a week for about 5 weeks despite the fact that I was exercising 4-5 days a week! Talk about frustrating.

I signed up with myfooddiary.com and started tracking everything I put in my body. What a difference it made! It put me back on track to where I wanted to be and makes me see exactly where my calories were coming from. I know that my lattes have no fat and 15 grams of Protein but skim milk is LOADED with carbs! I think it was all the sugars that were slowing me down. I decided that if I really want those sugars - which I usually don't, I'm going to get them from where they count - like a few bites of a snickers!

Can you believe we're coming up on a year!!? It just doesn't seem real.

I think I have finally gotten used to the fill I am not PBing like I was right after so it will be good to see the lbs start falling off again.

Hi toqu...you and I were banded the exact same day. I am stuck on my weight loss, but I am finally getting a fill on Wednesday. Yeah!! I have been stuck for about two months, but my insurance (Aetna) is giving me a bunch of crap about paying my fills. They are 200 dollars so I have finally bit the big one and told them I would pay out of pocket. I feel like a drug addict needing there fix

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
