  1. I know these are not full body, but I will try to get some soon. The first one is of me at my 29th birthday party. The other is my daughter and me at a Ranger game.
  2. Forgot to put a before pic in there...here is one.
  3. Here are some more updates....everyone here looks really great!!!
  4. The one in the white shirt is before surgery. The one in the blue shirt is about three weeks ago. I am still a little ways from my goal weight, but thought I would post some pics anyway.
  5. I am also hoping one day to get plastic surgery. I hope you get a lot of responses!!
  6. The week of surgery was hard for me. I was in a lot of pain the first few days. It is different for everyone though. I could not really stand up straight or get on high beds or anything. I was scared to eat anything for a long time. Slowly I regained my trust in food and learned what to eat and how much. No matter the amount of pain I went through I would do it all over again...it was well worth it!! The girl in the next room from me from surgery did not really have any pain at all. I think a lot of my pain came from the gas (or whatever it is) they blow you up with to do the surgery. It eventually worked it's way out and I started to feel better. I am not trying to scare you or anything it is just that when I had surgery I did not know what to expect and when I came out in pain I was suprised. I have had two c sections and a couple of other surgeries and this was the worst. It was tolerable pain though. REMEMBER IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!
  7. Hi toqu...you and I were banded the exact same day. I am stuck on my weight loss, but I am finally getting a fill on Wednesday. Yeah!! I have been stuck for about two months, but my insurance (Aetna) is giving me a bunch of crap about paying my fills. They are 200 dollars so I have finally bit the big one and told them I would pay out of pocket. I feel like a drug addict needing there fix
  8. Good luck!! I was very excited also when my time came so I know how you feel.
  9. Welcome...I am from Abilene, Texas. Good luck I am glad you found this I have learned so much from this website!!
  10. I had the same thoughts. I was crying and saying how could I cut off something that life revolves around. Everything my family does is around food...that's what got me overweight to begin with. But after a couple of weeks went by I was good and especially after I started to eat soft foods. You can eat all the normal stuff just in smaller portions. This was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. Give yourself time to adjust. Good luck!!
  11. Good luck..I am from Texas also from Abilene. I am sure no one around this web site has been here... Anyway, I got banded about 5 months ago and it was the best thing I have done for myself. Best of luck!!
  12. Nancy, I have had a great experience so far. I LOVE my band!!! I have lost a total of 57 pounds. I have about 40-50 more before I get cosmetic surgery. I am doing very well. My surgery went ok I had to stay overnight due to breathing complications...not due to the band but from all the medication. It took about a week to get back to work. I won't lie it hurt pretty bad. I am not a baby either I have had 2 c sections and a hysterectomy and to me this was the worse surgery yet. Don't worry though for about 3 days I was in pain but it was well worth it. It I had to do it all over again I would. Everyone is different though another girl got surgery the same day as me and she got to go home and had only mild pain. Any other questions just ask! Good luck!!!
  13. Thanks to all...everyone in here is very encouraging!! Purtynailz I am also sorry to here about your mother in law. 44 lbs. is still alot you are doing awesome!!
  14. Hi fellow October bandsters...I have finally gotten a new computer and will be on more. My computer was a goner right before I got my band and I had been using my parents to ask questions off and on. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone more now that I can read and "talk" on a more frequent bases. Well, I have lost a total of 53 pounds now and I will be putting pictures on pretty soon. I can really tell a big difference which is great!! I know my ticker is a little off but I will fix it soon enough. I do have a question for ya'll though do you guys ever get a fill and think it is going to be the one and last for a while but about two weeks later you are eating the same again. About two weeks ago I got filled and I have lost 11 pounds since then but I am just starting to be able to eat just like I was before I got it. I still can't eat very much but it is still annoying to think I will have to get another one sooner than I thought I would.
  15. Thanks soniacan. I will have to really pay attention when I am eating. I already miss not being able to gulp the water:) You are right there with 39.5 pds lost that is GREAT!!
