New - From TX

I just found this site over the weekend and all I can say is I LOVE IT. I think all I've done all weekend is look around and I've learned so many things.

I'm from TX, the Dallas area. I'm 32 years old - been married for 10 1/2 years and have one 14 month old baby boy. Our son is the joy of our life.

I'm really excited to get to talk to everyone out there...

Have a great week! :)

Hi there fellow Dallasites! I actually live in Terrell and work in Plano. I am just about done gathering my information for the insurance company and it will be submitted on Weds this week and then I begin the waiting game! You will love this site!!

Hello all. I'm also new from Texas and I have a 20 month old boy and a 4 year old girl. I live in Bedford (mid-cities between Dallas and Ft. Worth). I was banded last Thursday, 4/12/07. So far, it's been really really difficult to drink anything. Even when I just drink a sip of water (like a teaspoon), I feel a really heavy painful sensation like I need to burp. When I finally burb, it's better. I was told I need to be drinking at least 64 oz. of liquid a day. There's no way I've been able to do that. I'm amazed at all these posts that say people aren't losing weight. How in the world can you even eat?!?

Hi!

im sorta half time from texas?

I stay in Galveston when i come down for fills, and to hide for the winters. I was banded in Houston. Love my surgeon!

I too am from Texas. I'm very close to Dallas. When were you banded?

Hi donnafhass, I'm actually not banded yet - my big day is May 10th.. It will be here before I know it!

Can't wait to be banded...... From the DFW area, I had my consult in early February with Dr. Adam Smith, had my phyc eval and nutrition visit. I am waiting to hear from the doctor's office as to what the next step is, when they will submit to insurace company etc. I have Great-West Healthcare - anyone with any experience with them? Anyway, just can't wait until I have my surgury scheduled - at that point I will feel that I am actually doing something. How long does it generally take once you have submitted that to the office??? Any ideas? Sorry to have so many questions, but just feel that I am out here in space by my self! :)

Welcome to all you new Dallasites! I'm from the Lake Tawakoni area, work in downtown Dallas, and was banded by Richard Benavides in Richardson

Is there any such thing as a Lake Tawokian? LOL...I am going to Dr. Stephan in Mesquite. His office should be submitting all my paperwork this afternoon to BC/BS of CA and then I will play the waiting game...glad to see all the local area people joining in!

Since my address is actually Quinlan, does that make me a Quinlanonian, or a Quinlanite?

There are a LOT of DFW folks around here, but not many out our way, that I've seen anyway.
