October 2006 Bandsters!

Recommended Posts

I think another challenge is a great idea Jess. Memorial Day is too soon and the next holiday after that is 4th of July. Is that crazy or what?! It's hard to believe we've been banded 7-8 months now. Our one year anniversaries will be here before we know it! Personally I want to lose another 25 by then, so I'm game for any challenges or anything that will get my butt moving! lol

Hey everyone! Well, I am off to Vegas tomorrow morning. Goin to the Academy of Country Music Awards. I am so excited that I can hardly myself. Lots of drinks and food, but I just had a fill last week and for the first time, I truly know what pb's are. OMG! The pain. I really have to focus on chewing and eating slooooooowwwwwwww! I say a challenge is a great idea. I need something to motivate me. July 4th is a good goal. What is a reasonable weight loss to everyone? 10lbs?

Have a great week to all the October band babies.

I love a challenge! I would like to lose 13 pounds by July 4...that would put me 168, which is 50 pounds gone. July 4 is about 7 weeks away. I think we should set the goal for 10 or 15 pounds. What does everyone else think?

Hey everyone. Wow everyone is doing so good. I am also doing good I am down 80 pounds and counting. I am finally at the weight I was when I got married so I am pretty happy about that. With the gall bladder problems I was completely unfilled and so I only have 3 cc's so I need some Fluid in this band. But I still have lots of restriction.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
