October 2006 Bandsters!

Recommended Posts

Good morning friends!

I feel better this morning than a few days ago. Except I am a dork who fell asleep with the heating bad over my stomach and burnt myself or something since now i have a sore spot. I swear I am just a mess this week!! I've been so bad with chips the last few days so i have made a Protein Shake and am just sipping that. I need to get back on track.

I also need to figure out how to get my exercise in. I just have been so wiped after work and classes. excuses... excuses....

Hope everyones having a good week!

Any fun plans for the weekend?

Sonia

hello everyone...... everything is fine with me..... sorry to hear about the rest of you who are having a not so good week. Even though I feel fine .... i worry every moment that my band slipped, i dont know why, even the in laws keep asking me questions about my new toy, its like I dont want to tell anyone about it until I know for sure that it didnt slip. Like I am so used to failing at diets before, almost like I am sabotaging this one mentally. Anyone feel like this? lol ~Raynie!

Hi all I wanted to know how the people that got fills this week felt? any comments? Pain? please let me know i have an appointment in a2 weeks and thats all i could think about the pain if i have to get a fill! OUCH:faint:

i had my fill on Monday. i honestly did not feel the needle go in - in fact i even asked if it was in!!

the worst part for me was the barium swallow. i darn near gagged, but it was over in less than 5 minutes (and that includes me climbing up on and off the table) ...

i was extremely nervous because i hate pain, but it was ok.

and as a bonus, the day i was on liquids then 2 days on mushies - - i lost 8 more pounds...!!!!

good luck to you!

I was just sitting here transferring info from 2006 calander to 2007 new one. I started thinking, do you all realize how different we could all be in 2007??

I am so excited and so looking forward to 2007. This may be the first time in my life that I can follow through with my resolution to finally lose this weight and get on with my life.

I am excited and looking forward to so many new things in 2007.

My New Years resolution is to work with the band and continue to make good choices MOST of the time so that this will be my LAST YEAR EVER that "lose weight" will be a resolution for me.

What about you guys? I know its early to think about it but 2007 is right around the corner!

OK band buddies, I did it. Had the first fill this morning. Turns out he does flouro. It was absolutely no big deal. Didn't feel a thing. He said I was going to be a little tight, so I don't know if I like the sound of that. I guess time will tell. Definitely can't guzzle any Water right now and my Protein Drink went down pretty slowly. I did have a few gurgles going on with the Protein drink. I will let you know if anything eventful happens. :biggrin1:

Oh man Barium? I don't think i could ever do that again. the guys when i went to get my upper GI said to me" i'm going to give you the thicker formula so that you don't have to drink so much of it. I said okay THINKGING it was only like 2 oz nope it was a 16oz cup with about 10 oz of that barium in it. I was sick for two days  I didn' even think that I woud have to drink that.:faint: :faint:

Yippee Friday!! Happy Friday Bandster Friends!!!

I am not getting much work done today. Oh well. Still waiting to get a stern talking to about being online. =)

yesterday I had a great NSV!

A coworker was saying my jeans yesterday looked crappy and were all droopey on my butt. So i told my husband when I got home and started playing with my jeans once i took the belt off. the next thing i knew i was able to pull them down without undoing the button or zipper!!!!! shocked the husband (and probably the folks across the alley!!). I wasn;t expecting it to work!!!!

I guess this is working!

I don't think we determined an "official" start for the challenge...I'm starting with my weekly weigh in on Sunday.

Hi everyone, I got my first fill Monday and it wasn't bad at all. I didnt have to drink the barium I only had to drink Water to see if it would go down. I can tell a little difference but not a drastic difference. I have to watch how fast I eat and how big of bites more than before but I do feel a little more in control of my eating. How does everyone feel about starting our christmas challenge on Sunday? and report back every Sunday or Monday on how we all are doing? The support here is so great, I like knowing that I can come here and talk to people that are going through the same thing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
