  1. Surgery Oct. 4th / 31lbs. lost / 1 fill / Sadly, not much exercise. Had knee surgery on Dec. 7th. This is my first day off the crutches. Though I must say, crutches can be an exercise, especially when you're hauling around 220 plus pounds.... LOL Can't wait to see how everyone's doing. Haven't been around much since I had the knee done, so I'm pretty much out of touch. I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and let's knock 2007 out of the park. Take care Band Buddies..........Need to update the ole ticker.
  2. Welcome to LBT from Grapevine, TX! Glad to have you and continued success!!!
  3. WOW....:faint: My mouth just fell open reading that list. Not much makes me happier than Southern cooking. Some of the ladies at work take pity on me. One brought me chicken and dumplings last week!!! Threw all the chicken in the magic bullet and I was good to go. I don't mind cooking for someone else, I just have a hard time doing it for me. I find it hard to cook for 1, even more so now that the portions are so much smaller. I'm pretty sure I'm missing that cooking gene also. :think
  4. I couldn't agree with you more about JJ!!! My poor Kasey, he couldn't buy any luck with a black American Express! Tell me that's not a cute face on that kid! I can't believe it's almost over....
  5. LOL! Carlene, you'd be amazed at what I could put up with for a home cooked meal. Good one, dear....
  6. Thanks so much, Carlene. They look absolutely scrumptious! Maybe my new band will encourage me to cook more band friendly foods. Also thanks for uploading them. They worked like a charm! Hey, how about adopting me? I'm old and gainfully employed, so you would only have to keep me around dinner time..... :biggrin1: :hungry:
  7. Shoot Yeah!!!! I want to see it!!! So glad you came through everything so well. Best of luck with your new port!
  8. You know, I just love this forum!!! I had a friend who used to go to AA meetings and she would say, if she listened, God would give her just what she needed to hear. I'm starting to feel the same way about this place. The other day I was reading a thread where someone was talking about hiccups being their sign to stop. My very next meal I started feeling like maybe things were feeling a bit funny and I should stop....next thing I know HICCUPS!!!! Today, I was reading this thread, then came home for lunch....this time MY NOSE STARTED TO RUN!!!! I was like OMG, this is just what they were talking about! How fun is that??? Thank you guys so much for being there for us beginners!!! Much love....
  9. HA!!! Couldn't agree more. I am so very happy for both of you! Give her a big ole' hug for me!!!
  10. I wanted to apologize for picking on your banana. I hit one of my hot buttons and I should have just kept my mouth shut. I have a manager at work who wears a "Jesus 2000" lanyard and it just makes my teeth ache to hear her cursing with "Jesus" around her neck. I know I don't always please Him but I try not to flat out embarass Him. It's not up to me to say what would make Him embarassed. So, I sincerely apologize. He is the only one that truly knows our hearts. God bless you and yours and have a great day!!!
  11. Oh wow, a friend sent me that in an email a couple of weeks ago. I think it is one of the best things I have EVER seen in my life!!! Great idea to share it here.....
  12. Never mind....I should have done a search first. Seems like you guys have talked about this before. Sorry. What a waste of my first new thread!
  13. Got a bit curious? I've seen where people have had trouble flying after a fill or newly banded. What happens to the band at depth when diving? I got certified but haven't gotten to do much diving yet and want to very badly!!! Any divers out there? How does the pressure affect our band? Thanks for whatever info you might have....
  14. You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers. My "old woman" is 13 and a half and I can't imagine the day I have to make that kind of choice. I never want mine to hurt either. I'd give you a hug if I could reach you. It's making me cry just trying to write this. I hope God heals your heart in a hurry....
  15. Carol134- I have a hard time listening to anything you have to say about God or Christianity in general with that big yellow banana shaking it's tits in every one of your posts. I'm sure God is thrilled to be associated w/ that.
