Hello to everyone,I just found this site, and I am so happy. I am a single mother of 4 small children, so I am so glad to find a support group to help me through this. My husband left me 3 days before I found out I was approved for surgery, we were to go through this together, but I am better off now... I was origianlly going to get the RNY, but had heard a lot of negative tings about that procedure. So I decided to go the route that would best fit me. I have to be sane to take care of my children, So I went with the one that had less recovery time. Also I have had 4 c-sections and was not too keen on the idea of being put under for 2 hours... anyway just wanted to introduce myself and tell you all hello. I will be officially banded on September 29, 2006!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's lack of support. Welcome to the forum, you'll find a lot of good info. here.

And they say women are the weaker sex! God Bless You and yours as you go through this transition time. And please keep in mind that when things are this crazy, it is sooooo easy to run to the refrigerator to find comfort. Don't add self loathing to the load you are already carrying.
