Was wondering if anyone had done their toes or nails done before surgery, meaning was it allowed to have your toes painted and can you have on acrylic nails? I'm having my surgery on the 23rd and I just want my hands and feet to look ok if you know what I mean. Hope some ppl don't think this is to silly.

Toes are ok--fingernails must be natural where I had my surgery done.

I had acrylic nails n my toes painted.

You will likely have an oxygen saturation/pulse monitor on your index finger. My preop instructions said no nail polish on fingers, and that your nail would be cut in the event that it interfered with the monitor. My toes were done and that did not cause an issue.

I left my fingers and toes sans polish but I would recommend waxing down there though for when they put the catheter in you. Just a thought

I had acrylic nails (solar nails) and my toes were painted. No one said anything...

I had acrylic nails the day of surgery and there was no problem

I could have toes polished, but no polish on nails.

I had to take my polish off finger nails but could keep on toe nails if it was put on within 2 weeks because they said less chance of infection.
