Feedback On Dr. Castaneda In Puerto Vallarta

Hi - I am new to the board. Scheduled for surgery on august 23rd with Dr. Castaneda in puerto vallarta. Traveling from Seattle. I don't see him discussed often so hoping someone might be out there that used him.

Yeah' date='glad to hear all is well. Give it a few more days and you will feel like a rockstar. Actually the day the drain tube(s) come out is amazing.[/quote']

Wen do the drains vome out?

Drains come out monday morning. Can't wait!! Got out of the hospital yesterday and I must say I miss the comfort of the hospital bed to sleep. Would be better if there were no drains.

I go home tuesday so one week total in Puerto Vallarta. Feeling so awesome, I'm 4 days post surgery. Every say just gets easier and easier. You can follow my blog at fatchickgonewild.blogspot.com. I've been tracking my journey thus far.

Sarita - safe travels tommorow and you will be in my thoughts. Crystals blog summarizes the experience pretty well. Everything seemed exactly the same to mine. Even the "taxi" driver. I had forgotten about the white nylons.....those were not my favorite. However, I did not get any icecream in the hospital...I got Jello instead. I was the least bit interested in eating anything at the hospital so I guess it really doesn't matter.

I am five weeks out now and have lost 18 pounds (starting weight was 211). I don't have any food restrictions but focus on eating Protein. Today I had greek yogurt for Breakfast, salad with 3oz chicken for lunch, and 2 turkey meatballs with marinara for dinner. I also spent 30 minutes on the elipitical tonight. I say this all to just let you know that in just a few weeks you are both going to feel soooo amazing!!! For 5 weeks I haven't had a drop of alcohol, eat well, drink all my Water, no caffeine, excercise, take viatamins, quit taking my sleeping pills and anti-depressants. I don't that I have every done all these things at once in my life. It is an empowering feeling. And I am totally starting to see the changes in my body. I took my measurements last week and had lost 5 inches in my hips and stomach. Think this is all just a month away for you!!!

Congrats to both of you on your new beginnings (or as Dr. Casteneda refers "your evolution").

Surgery went well i was walking a couple hours after n stayed pretty active :) tried me best to get the gass out as fast as i could lol :) jus came back from my leak test n i beleave everything went well i feel safe here and the nurses r realy nice and attentive.... I have no regrets

Hooray for all of us! Getting stitches out this morning, eating is going well and lost 16 pounds since pre-op.

Sarita - that is great news! I am sure you are feeling better everyday

Crystal - been reading your blog. I had my soon to be ex husband who is a registered nurse take out my stitches. He got all but one out successfully. There is a tiny piece of thread stuck under my skin in the one between the breasts. Don't really want to dig it out.

Yes i am feeling better im actualy back at the hotel no pain realy jus kinda bored it bn raining nonstop here n to top it off the weather keeps messing with the satelight but other than that im good n dandy caint wait to fet the drains out lol i think im getting a little home sick it woulda bn nicer if it werent raining

I had the same exact thing happen with the same exact stitch! Weird!! I used a needle, hooked it and pulled it out. Didn't feel a thing. Feels better now that its out.

Hey ladies did yall have any probs with the drains n stich on the left side i think my stitch is comeing out but its not open idk i cant get threw to the hospital idk if im even dialing right

Left side drain definitely gave me issues. The stitch was loose so it moved in and out when I breathed or moved around. Once the drain was out, it felt amazing. Also taking the most time to heal but once your stitches are out, you'll feel even better. Hang in there!

I cant beleave how everything went so well and my over all expierence i am amazed....

Crystal : how r u feeling?

Candigurl: how much wieght have u lost?
