Bygone have any feedback on this husband wife team?

Why did you need so much cash? I have been to TJ before so I don't plan on doing anything but surgery. I know there are tips involved (to whom I am am still unclear) but $250 seems a lot in gratuities. My surgery price was with the hotel so I figured I'd have to tip the driver, coordinator and hotel staff. Am I missing anyone?

You have to buy your own food and drink. If you can find someone that has had the surgery you could split something. Soup at the hotel is expensive. I would go to the store at the hotel and get hot tea and Gatorade. You might will want to go shopping. Since you are going to TJ, you could go shopping before you cross the border. I had my surgery in Puerto Vallarta. I felt very safe in Mexico. My husband was worried but he is a cop and since he wasn't coming with me, he was worried about the unknown. You will do fine.

Food? What are you talking about? First off, you are not supposed to be eating anything the night before. Once you get the surgery, you will be eating ice chips for the next two days. Then, if you are even able, watered down gatorade in very small sips. clear broth possibly, but you wont be able to take in much, just alot of Water. You will be fine. You wont be eating solid food for a while after.

For some reason I thought we could have popcicles and broth, which I thought they provided to us at the hospital. Wrong?

Oops, I mean I thought they provided at the hotel.

They might have popsicles there but you still have to pay for the food at a hotel. Broth is fine as well but you have to pay for it

Hello all, I'm trying to book with Dr Lopez and I've been contacted by someone named Ron an then called today by a 'Nathan'. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with these names from 'Mexico Bariatric Centre'? Don't want to be sending money if its not legit!!

Never heard of them...I am using a lighter me. Janese is my coordinator. And the other one that every body uses is ready 4 a change. I believe everyone who uses them are happy with the service they have received. I would be careful using a company no one has heard of. Just my opinion. I am booked with Dr. Lopez in Puerto Vallarta. Hope you have a great experience.

I asked the coordinator thru ready4achange and she told me, yes..the hotel will provide you with complimentary popsicles, broth, and water or juice. It would be a surprise if someone went counting on that and it wasn't true...

I do think nathan is legit, he told me they were an internet marketing company for dr lopez and the name mexico bariatrics was on all the paperwork I got from a lighter me. I chose to go with janese from a lighter me as she and the other coordinators there have all had bariatric surgery done in mexico. Dr lopez was her surgeon. Anese has alot of good info and insight that she shares and answers all of my questions really quickly. I am on the 23rd with Lopez. Good luck.

Now if your coordinator has a side deal set up, that is different, but I was there, and the hotel makes you pay for that stuff, trust me. Also, after the surgery, you will not be able to eat or even sip almost anything for a few days, so by then, you will be home or on your way home.

stickks, just curious, did you go through an agency/coordinator? How was your expereince otherwise?

I just spoke with Janese at A lighter me and it was very clear that with this group you get 2 cups of broth a day and 2 bottles of water. You can bill to the room if you would like at a slight fee (I prefer this since I have a Marriot membership) or go downstairs to pick up yourself for free. She also said the usually provide Gatorade for patients.

The hotel has a concierge so you can have them arrange taxis for trips to picks up additional waters, juice etc.

I am bringing with me bouillon granules that I can dissolve in hot water if I need to.

Meds, dressing etc are also included.

Another thing she told me that they are now working with Dr Ortiz as well.

Look. I know what they have told you. I used alitghter me as well. At the marriot in pv they do not include that stuff for free. You have to purchase gatorade broth from tue restsurant as well as wster bottles. As well as wound dressing etc. I was there. Please listen.
