These are great, thank you! Are they for the full liquid stage or mushies?

The shakes are for the full liquid stage but the ones at the end are for the mushies stage. Man, I'm hungry! lol

I will probably be getting this same list at my last BEND class. Dr. Kim is my surgeon also ;)

Good luck with your surgery!!! (August 7 is my birthday - good choice in dates! LOL!)

Thanks, you too!!! And happy early birthday! We definitely need to stay in touch. :) So when is your surgery scheduled with Dr. Kim?

I had the endoscopy yesterday at Forest Park Medical and met a lady there that was having surgery by Dr. Kim on the same day as me. It was pretty cool!

My 2 week liquid diet starts Monday...ugh.

Aww thanks cegull for asking. Actually I am impressed/surprised/and worried that the liquid diet is actually moving very smoothly. I've had no problems other than the extra potty breaks from all the extra fluids. I am now day 3 into it, staying satisfied with the shakes (pre-made ones for now) I do find that I am easily tempered or my fuse is wired very short at times. My boys just give me hugs when I get that way, Tell me it will pass, suggest maybe a nap, etc. I've had no headaches, no food cravings, nothing. Thats whats worrying me. I expected this to be very difficult and hard, and since it is going so well, I find myself thinking on the what ifs.

Even though I started my diet earlier than was requested there is an upside of things. I have been staying within the limits of the 800-1000 calorie diet, sometimes finding it hard to hit those numbers, but staying well hydrated , I have managed to drop a few pounds. I was not requested to lose weight for the surgery, but I would secretly hope to lose 20 lbs. If I can lose 17 more lbs I will go into surgery under 300. That would be awesome for me.

Yay!! I am glad to hear everything is going so well. I hope it continues to stay that way for you, lady. That is so cool that our surgeries are 1 day apart.

My surgery probably won't be until October! I just started my 3 mo's of nutrition classes and the last one isn't until September 27!

Wow you only have a 2 day liquid diet? ! Thought most everyone has a 2 week liquid diet!

Let's keep in touch :)

Oops! Sorry...I meant 2 week diet, not 2 day diet lol. Maybe that is wishful thinking!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
