Good Morning all..... its Saturday!

Eileen: Super glad surgery is over for Olivia. And that parking thing made me mad! We had to pay in Los Angeles, but not that much.

Beanie: Your posts always make me laugh, and I needed to smile this morning. Hey, don't they automaticly take OUT the calories from cheesecake when it's made? We gotta find you an alternate treat.

Darcy: I continue to post here cause YOU will take me to your cabin.... I just have to be thin enough to fit thru the door! Support coming your way as you study for that externship in dog training (and you will find time to post also).

Today is another super cleaning day..... but I have the kids and they will make the progress abit slower. I also got a surprise from my Mom, she sent me $200 for my attorney fee:) So now I just need to add postage and pray that insurance gives me my lapband approval. One day at a time.

Yesterday I woke up and my left ankle is slightly swollen. It's a sign that my body is not as healthy as I once was and time to change my lifestyle. So, I'm gonna drink lots of Water, elevate my leg, drink grapefruit juice(natural diaretic) and p p lots. I'm hoping to visit Disneyland tonight at about 6pm. They have halloween decoration up and the walking will do me some good. So thats my plan for today. Hugs all!

Good morning!

Thanks, Eileen, for the update on Olivia! I pray she recovers and heals completely. Good for you for doing some shopping! Another catalogue that carries "giraffe" sizes are L.L. Bean...they have talls (34" inseams). I like their jeans and khakis; I'm so glad I can wear them again. I normally wear 18s, but in their sizes, I need a 20. You can look at their stuff online.

Patty, what a blessing! Put a stamp on that sucker, and let's get started on the appeal process! Have fun in the Land! Make sure you keep that ankle up for a while, even though you are busy!

Rita, good luck with your job hunt? What kind of job are you looking for?

Eileen, you asked how many days are on the "count down to retirement"? On Monday, 52 days! I am only counting work days, not the weekends.

I've got to get DD ready to go visit my sister and the baby cousin...I'll check back later!

Hope everyone's having a great OCTOBER DAY!!!!

Oops, I just figured it out....there's probably an October thread....okay, I'll go look for it....dang, I do this every month!

Mouse I am looking for almost anything, within 20 miles from my house. I would like a front desk receptionist/clerical, I was taught by the attorney I worked for the 18 months she was a great teacher but I basically just know her office stuff. she is winding down her practice to work for the state doing law guardian for displaced children, so the deal didnt include me OH well. I applied at Lakeland bank as a file clerk. you see life experience is great but I have no college degree and I only reentered the work force 2 years ago after being home for 11 years. also before I styed home I owned my own salon with my ex-husband. my weight and age are a factor why I am not going back to cut hair...

but now that I am in ONEderland my be things will change.

thanks for asking hope I wasnt to long winded

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
