Anyone want to talk about the Lap-Band?

I do not like the way my breasts turned out. I was happier with them before. Most people have great results...I just tend to scar up too bad. I'm not done yet though, so maybe I'll get them to what I want. My PS and I decided to wait until most of my weight is gone before doing anything else. Just make sure you do your homework AND if you think your scars from your band surgery look bad (keloid type scarring), maybe reconsider. I feel like one GIANT scar now. It's worth it on my tummy because it is so easy to cover it up, but the "girls"..........

I love the thought of PS, but we would like to have more kids after I get the green light from my surgeon. PS is so far down the road, it doesn't seem real to me. I'm sure I'll need a TT & BL. My boobs already touch my knees. Not really, but it seems like. Breastfeeding does not do anything positive for your appearance.

Ok, I just ate 1/2 english muffin with ricotta cheese on it. (nutritionist's suggestion) I am not sliming and I can swallow and spit, and a couple of sips of crystal light stays down.

I feel a lot of pressure, its not painful, just pressure. I ate the 1/2 over 20 min and took little bites. Did I eat too much or is it stuck?

Neither, it's too heavy for you. Stick to mushier foods. Your band isn't ready for it yet, give it another week, or even just a few days. Or put the ricoota on a cracker. Did you toast the english muffin? The english muffin is your trouble. That's what I think anyway.

You know what I've been missing? It's been so long since I've heard about Aloe Vera juice. Kathy is the Aloe Queen. Have I missed it? Will have to remember that advice for the newly banded. Did anyone use it? I know I did.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
