I went to Dr Kelly on 5/25 and he was great. My blog is losethisbelly.blogspot.com for more details.

Both are hood surgeons. I went to Dr Kelly for a few reasons, but the main two were, credentials, and experience. Dr. Kelly's credentials and expirience were head and shoulders above Garcia. Not saying anything negative about Garcia, just that he's less experienced and his credentials dont match Kelly's. Dr. Kelly is a phenomenal surgeon. I had little to no pain after surgery, and his aftercare while I was there was impeccable. His staff are all caring and gentle. Plus, his assistant, Omar, is a wonderful friend, bodyguard, chauffeur, etc while you are there. I really liked Dr. Kelly's American credentials. Being a part of the prestigious FACS, and belonging to the American Bariatric Health Association, spoke volumes to his dedication to his profession, and his specialized clientele.

I used Dr. Garcia and could not have been happier with my service and results. You would be in a good situation choosing either one. They are both good surgeons and you will get the same results from either one. You just have to make the choice on what your heart tells you. You will be happy either way.

Ditto.

And thanks for visiting me in the hospital, cissiesue!

I am working on convincing my hubby, but I've been checking out Dr Kelly for a couple of years now. Once hubs agrees i'm Kelly bound. :)

If you read in the 50's thread, Kat just got home from surgery with Dr. Garcia and has a horrible infection in her incisions. She has to have them drained and packed every day.

I am sure all doctors have problems, but I thought you would like to be aware of this. I know I would if I were in the stage of choosing a surgeon.

I had Dr Kelly & Dr Garcia at the top of my list & ultimately chose Dr Kelly & was sleeved by him on May 10th this year.

I felt Dr Kelly just had a bit more experience & felt very comfortable when talking to him on the phone too.

It was wonderful to meet the three of you! I really wanted to be there for you girls, not that you needed me, but just to continue in my support. :)

I read the thread you are talking about and that is very strange to me because they told me how to clean my incisions before I left the hospital and gave me dressing changes to change them everyday. They checked on me daily after leaving the hospital as well as seeing 4 doctors everyday while being in the hospital. If you feel like something is wrong it is always best to ask before you leave the country. I am so sorry she is going through this. There could a lot of factors contributing to an incision infection however.

You will love Omar and Dr. Kelly! And once you get to Hotel Lucerna, you will have a great time!
