Wheezy Whispers-AKA September's Goals

Recommended Posts

I'm beginning to think that the TLBC is better organized as far as fills. My Dr. just told me that I should probably think about scheduling a fill at about 6 weeks. I called to make the appointment but they could not fit me in at 6 weeks, so I am waiting 7 weeks. After the first fill I guess it's up to me.

Hey Wheezy....I have a 10cc band and my first fill was 5ccs (of course, unbeknownst to me - or them- at the time, none of it actually went in...but that is another story!). All that to say that at TLBC, they generally give you a first fill of 5ccs unless you tell them you are already feeling some restriction.

Thanks Yoda, I guess I'll just have to see when I get there. I'm anxious to get my first fill. I haven't lost any weight for 4 weeks.

Some day when you feel like it, I would like to know about your fill not going in you band

Hey Wheezy...I was like that too...scale wouldn't move for a long time and then I'd drop....in fact, that is still the way it works for me. Grrrr. But I try and appreciate the little wins! Anyhoooo, below are two threads that explain my fill saga. The first one with the fill probs I had and the second one explains the "missing" 5ccs. hehe. Of course, since then I have had my fill under fluro (bringing me to 7ccs) and all is well in fill land now. Not sure yet if I'm at my "sweet spot" but I'm waiting to see first before I get another fill. I don't want to be too tight (looks at Argon!). :nervous

Thanks Yoda for the explanation. What a story!!!! I don't think that I would endure 20 and 30 tries. You must be a very patient person.

We'll I weighed myself today and again no weight loss. October will be a better month after my first fill.

Today I can't stop eating. I haven't stopped since I got home frome work. This is what it was like before the band, it's all coming back to me now.

The actual spreadsheet is way cooler... it shows the difference in your weight, and BMI as you go along.. and it also charts it.

If you guys want, I can see if there's a way for me to attach the Excel 'template' I used to a post... if not, I could email it to you. You gotta have 'Excel' though.

And thank you :)

(I just tried, it won't let me attach the file. If you'd like it, PM me your address and I'll email it to you!)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
