A skiny woman followed me into the ladies room yesterday.....

I was out with a friend and I excused myself to the ladies room. I saw myself in a full length mirrow for the first time in over a year. There was a thin woman staring back at me with her jaw dropped open. I can't believe how much my body has changed. I have gone from MO to normal in 12 months!!!! Huge NSV for me, also huge mental step, I saw what was really there. I was starting to think I would need counseling to see what everyone else was seeing. I saw it yesterday. WooHoo for me. No point really just wanted to share. ~Mandy

P.S. I asked if I could buy that mirror just in case it was the mirror and not really my body. They said no :) ~M

Awesome, sometimes it is hard to really 'see' ourselves, then one day, in a window or mirror, and we are shocked.

I am happy for you.

Congratulations Mandy! That has to be one of the most fantastic feelings in the world. Can't wait to share some of the feelings you all have felt first hand! Keep up the fantastic work.

Your post made me cry, it's so inspiring. You know, back about eight months ago I started following the picture thread closely, and it's such an amazing delight to see everyone just shrinking away including you. Congratulations on seeing that skinny woman! I hope I'll see her in the mirror myself one day...

What a delightfully inspiring story!!! Congratulations to you (and Melody and Liz, who are also doing great!)

congrats to everyone ans what an awesome story! i feel like i haven;t lost anything cuz we look at ourselves in the mirror everyday but part of the issue is body image and we have to look at ourselves thru new eyes too! good luck everyone!

What a wonderful feeling that must have been (once you realized who your stalker was) Congrats!!!

Um, so EXACTLY where is this restaurant? . . . . . LOL

What a GREAT NSV! Congratulations you skinny, er, HEALTHY girl!

Congrat's on seeing the REAL you..new and improved beautiful,skinny YOU!! Mandy's smokin!!!:flame:

I want to thank you for that wonderful post! As I sit here reading all of the things that can go wrong, it is so nice to hear a success story like that. I am getting banded on the 9th of Oct. I hope that I will be writing a post like that next Oct. Way to go!

I understand completely. Every time I take my jeans out of the dryer, I almost wonder whose they are. I remember that I wore them just yesterday, but I hold them up and look at them, and think "how did I get my butt in THESE"?

The other day, my husband asked "is this your shirt?" I said, "yes, but it looks like you shrunk it!" So, right then and there, I tried it on. It fit!!!

:nervous

Here's to all the skinny women in mirrors!!
