My Burper Is Broken….

Let me clarify, I have never been a huge belcher! A ladylike burp here or there was no big deal especially drinking something like a coke or a beer. NOW, I’m wondering if the Doctor not only took out my stomach but if he removed my ability to burp as well??? I have severe restriction and gas buildup after the slightest bit of food or even a sip or two of water. I take OTC Prilosec every day faithfully. I’m almost 3 weeks post-op. haven’t had a gas x strip in a while because I don’t have the gas pains from surgery in a long time. Thinking I may try those again though. Other than that I feel great! I walk 2 miles a day and have have no problems what-so-ever! My only problem is I can’t get any relief from a burp…..my burper is broken!!!

 Anyone else have this problem or offer any advice?

I have the same problem. I can't figure it out. I feel the urge but can't burp. But I guess its not a bad thing, I haven't had too much trouble with gas pain or being bothered by it so far. :)

Take care!
