Hi there. I'm about as far out as you and am actually not permitted to have anything but clear liquids for three weeks. I would say that if you are feeling discomfort for any reason, take a step back. Go back to things like protein and milk mixed so that they easily go through a strainer. And when you are ready, try again. The main thing here is to listen to your body. Not everyone swells at the same rate, so it can be more difficult for some while easy for others! :) good luck

You said a mouthful.

Remember you just had major surgery. If you are onlly a few days or so post-op your tummy is just starting to try and heal. You must be nice to it, and sip very slowly and carefully. I don't even think you should eat applesauce if you are so sore.

Just take it real slow, no hurry.

Yes you will feel better in your own time, everyones different. no rush

feel better soon

best wishes

It gets better, PROMISE! I'm just over 6 weeks out. My doctor is ultra conservative and requires pureed food until 8 weeks out. I can eat most of my food selections without any problem now. Don't get me wrong though, if I take too big of a swallow of water, I can feel it. There have been times at work, I've had to get up at work and walk the halls to help the water work its way down.
