Lissa- Awe Thank You so much. I do feel better about my loss now :) I tend to look at things in a negative way instead of positive when it comes to myself. I know it's bad, but low self esteem and being overweight my whole life has done that to me. Actually I have allowed that to do it to me.

I've been feeling BLAH too because I can hardly eat. I have about 2 oz and I'm done. I feel Neaseous right after and I don't eat for the rest of the day. I am only getting about 20oz of liquid a day. I keep asking myself, will I ever be able to eat more than 2-3 oz a day ever?

What does your meal plan look like at 9 months out?

Sorry I've been rambling on :-(

Someone should do a study on this. I'm thinking we would need a pre-op test & 3-6-9-12month post op tests.

I feel we could really do a service for our fellow man. Poeple want answers.

I posted this in the other as well:

Actually, the inside WILL change. At least according to my gyno.

I went in for my first pap, I am only 20, and we talked about my surgery. She mentioned that larger women have more narrow vaginal canals because all the fat pushing in on it. She asked me about 100 times if I was sure I wasn't a virgin (really awkward). She said once I lose most of my weight it will widen a bit but not much. She said it probably wouldn't be noticeable to a partner but I may notice less discomfort, which I do have sometimes.

Pinky, I can eat almost anything at this point. My "meal plan" consists of 70 grams of Protein per day and 64 oz of Water. I eat foods that help me reach that target.

Breakfast is usually a Protein Bar and a mini babybel. lunch can be anything. I go in phases, today I had some chicken wings cooked in the toaster oven, about 5 IIRC. dinner, I haven't thought about yet. I usually do some lunch meat rolled up with cheese or I'll eat some version of a frozen entree like chicken or shrimp. I do a lot of stir fry with chicken or steak fajita meat and a little bit of frozen veggies. And, I'm constantly drinking Water, Decaf tea, etc.

Work on your water. You need it more than Protein early post-op. Getting dehydrated is a much bigger danger than malnourished right now. :)

To stay on topic, I'm kegeling! :)

Ooh, when my Hubby had bypass I heard (and saw..... he was very proud) how he was "growing". I have to admit, it is amazing how much the men can change. I never even THOUGHT that I could change? After a month out of surgery all I have figured out is "carnal relations" (thank you Big Bang Theory) is easier. Can't wait to keep figuring out these changes. Thanks for the laugh!

I believe the consensus in the Man's Room was that there is a limit to how much length men gain. ;)

Why would there be offense? This is a very valid question. Dr oz said men gain an inch for every 30 lbs they lose. Girls gotta right to know how Weightloss will effect the hoohaa

WOO HOO!! That made my day!

*Running away now!* (have to admit it was an interesting discussion though!)

Seriously? that means when I get to goal I'll gain 13 inches..(400/30}..that can't be right, that would put me in the guiness book of world records for sure. Lmao

lol patrick. I laughed out loud hysterically when i read that. In your dreams, buddy, in your dreams hahaa!!! I believe theres a cap to how much you men can gain. lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
