You're a real jackass LUH...come home...I'm bored.

Hey I'm in The Bronx which isn't too far :) I'm still pre op but could def use some 'sleeve friends' near by! lol

Nope no date yet, I see my surgeon on 18th to really start things. I went to a seminar back in April for his office but they had a super long wait so I'm just getting to see him now. So hopefully I can get things moving once I see him! I was told I wouldn't need to do a 6 month diet or anything, so hopefully the pre op stuff will go by fast! Are you post op Tracey? :)

Awesome!good for you...I am pre-op but had to do the 6th month weighins with my doctor!just finished my last one and have an appointment with my surgeon the 14th of this month!:)I'm very excited and haven't been nervous at all up untill this point...iv been heavy forever and was never able to loose a significant amount of weight so I'm ready for this,or at least as ready as I could be:)I'm excited for you!

Fallenangel...what type of insurance do you have ? It'd be nice to get to avoid those 6 months of weighing in! Lol. I hope that happens for me...but at this point, I'm just waiting to get started!

Yay awesome that you got through the 6 month diet!! I know how you feel, I've been over weight my whole life, I've yo-yoed with my weight but still never got anything close to a 'normal' weight. Super excited for you too! :D Good luck at your appointment, hopefully you get a date soon!

I have Health First. They told me at my seminar (I talked to the nurse practicioner) most private insurences require the 6 month diet. Either way though, the time will pass one way or another. I was reading your posts and see you have your seminar in a few days- good luck!! I'm really excited and anxious to get to my appointment so I can just start all of this already!

Hey ladies! I'm in Manhattan and I have health first too @ Fallen Angel. ( do you need the 6-month approval letter)

I'm getting my sleeve done at Columbia Presbyterian.

I had my Upper Endoscopy done today!

This has truly been a roller coaster ride!

I have to friends who got it done in May and they are both already 50lbs down!!!!

Hey Beba. I'm not sure about the 6 month approval letter. I've only been to the seminar at this point and when I asked them about my insurence they told me that the 6 month diet isn't required....so I guess I'll see when I go on the 18th and talk to the surgeon! :)

Congrats on doing the endoscopy! I'm scared of that procedure lol. Your almost there! I hope you get your date soon! :D

Maybe one day we can have a verticle sleeve party haha!the endoscopy was very interesting...I was petrified for mine!glad urs went well:)

Verticle sleeve party haha I love it! Actually there are a lot of NYers in the NY group/threads- It would be awesome if we could have a meetup at some point!

Hi everyone. I'm in Queens. Getting sleeved on August 20th at Lenox Hill. So happy to hear from all of ya.

Hi

I live in Queens and was sleeved at Mercy Hospital in Rockville Ctr on March 27th 2012. My surgeon was Dr. Garber. The surgery changed my life.

This my first time replying. Yeah.....
