Best Nsv Ever - Made My Day!

Recommended Posts

I am sure many of you that are further along on our journey have had a friend or family member call you "skinny" as a sweet compliment to your weight loss. It has happened to me a couple of times over the past year. Well, I knew I was far from it still but I just smiled and said "Thank you".

Well, yesterday morning on the way to church, I was riding in the back seat with my 4 yr old (not normal) and commented how much room there was back there now. My son, as with most kids at this age, is brutally honest. He stated that I fit so well because I was SKINNY.

Skinny? Me? Really? Wow, it is so awesome that my son sees me like that way. I am not the fat mom any more. Yay!!

One time I was showing off a corset I bought at a faire to my sister and my nephew was poking and pushing my "hard" belly that was sucked in because of the corset. He said, where did your belly go? I said well its just underneath this hard material here. He said, can you make it come back? I said yep. But why? Do you not like my belly? And he said I love your belly because it is squishy. He was 4 lol.

I just hope he does not miss it when it is gone for good! Hahaha :) Kids are so cute with their brutal honesty.

I loved hearing my girl friend's external voice as she was walking out of my house. She had her head down and stated, "I can't handle you skinniness!." This just made me smile. :) And yes, I do love my skinniness. ;)

Love this!!!

I was called a "skinny b*tch" by a girlfriend (who knows I've been sleeved) and it made my day too! (Because it was all in fun, but I have NEVER been called that my whole life!)

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
