I don't know if its the same as what happened to me, BUT, after my last fill, for a few nights in a row, during the 1st week, I would wake it the middle of the night...coughing, after almost choking on liquid. It wasn't acidy. I tried to make sure I didn't eat LONG before bed (or at least longer than I'd been)... and it went away. Probably just on its own, but not eating long before bed is a good thing anyways.

Actually... now that I think of it, I think I woke up choking on whatever it was, and ran to the bathroom to spit it out. I remember, cause it was in my mouth, and I coughed some more, and sprayed everywhere. :omg: It was a little freaky. Did I not tell you guys about that? :heh: Probably something I didnt' wanna freak anyone out with.

Hey girls

Happened to me too!! Usually if I have too much liquid during the day/night. I scared myself thinking I was going to choke in my sleep. eek That would have made the news! "Canadian Woman dies suspiciously in Mexico, authorities are stumped" So if I am gurgling at bed time I will sleep with my head on a few pillows. Helps lots..don´t know when it will go away Yoda, since it happened to me last week! (1month post fill)

nah... like I said, it was a few times, right after a (too tight) fill. Maybe it happens sometimes when you're initially filled, until the 'too-tightness' goes away. ?

Sorry Astrotoes.... I'm sure you're seeing that it's not all puppies and bunny rabbits for everyone, but at least you'll go in prepared, and if nothing like anything you hear happens, you can consider yourself lucky! If it does, you know that it's not totally abnormal, and you shouldn't worry (too much) :P I really feel bad for people who go in knowing nothing but what the doctor tells them, and have no access to 'real' people and their experiences.

Thanks for that Argon, choking always gets me all weird and paniced, but of course you are right.....it's always better to be aware.Funny how all these things that come up and they just make sense but I hadn't thought about it. Hey are you getting this storm?

Apparently, it's coming! It was very cold yesterday (not compared to SK though!), and supposed to be more so today!

Okay...tks guys.....makes me feel better knowing it has happened to others too.

However, I'm HAPPY to report that last night was a good night! I only had a few gurgle sounds when I initially laid down....and no liquid and I slept thru the night with no issues!

I think Mandi is correct....it might happen after a fill (adjusting to it etc) and it will go away on its own

Astrotoes....don't worry about "choking".....it is like a chocking sensation but not exactly choking....your body will wake itself up right away and you will cough (if there is enough in there) and that is a good thing....so don't let if freak you out. Hey guys....LOL....think of me....I can't just wake up coughing, jump up and run to the bathroom to spit....I use a CPAP...!! So, I first have to take my mask off, get untangled from the hose etc....LOL. I put a lil' cup by my bed for just this purpose...but I haven't had to use it yet.

I just finished some hot tea to help loosen me and I'll have my protein drink for breakfast while at work.....the feeling feels better today.....

Thanks for listening to me whine the last couple of days.....

BTW, I think my ticker is no longer a lie!!! WHOOOOT WHOOOOT!!! But I won't weigh until Sat.....so it might even have to be adjusted DOWNwards!!! :)

Yoda, glad to hear your feeling better today. How's the food going down, do you feel a difference???

Astrotoes, I know it must freak you out when you read this stuff, but just remember this...Almost all these things happening are mostly little annoyences that go away within a day or two, and also don't forget that while you may be experiencing them you've lost a good amount of weight, so it kinda seems justified in a way. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I would trade spit, slimming, gurgling, etc..from time to time for ALL the weight loss I have experienced. It's kinda like just putting it into perspective. But I know it's creepy to read about it 'going in'.

ditto to what Cloe said!!!

Yeah, I feel a big difference right now with my fill. I'm back to that "frightened" stage where I'm afraid to eat too much ....I sooooooooooooo don't want to experience a bad pb.....or anything dreadful!

Ironically, I'm trying to eat more.....I haven't been having much. Example of yesterday's intake:

Breakfast: Protein Shake

Snack: pudding

Lunch: 3 crackers, 2 pieces of cheese

Supper: 3 lil' meatballs with tomato sauce on them (those tiny M&M meatballs)

Snack: nothing.

See, not enough, eh? I know it. Don't yell at me.

Ohhhhhh, I wish I could eat that little.

Actually, I'm probably eating less than I think.

ahh, Yoda... sounds like me in the good old days. I know it's bad, but here's my day so far:

breakfast: XL coffee

snack: donut

lunch: cream of broccoli from Tim's AND the whole freakin' mini baguette!!!!

snack: granola bar

supper: making hamburger helper right now

snack: i'll probably have one of those mini bags o' popcorn later.
