Still In The Hospital Is This Nightmare Ever Going To End?

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery on May3. Had a hital hernia repaired, lapband removed, and my sleeve done. Surgery went well. Went in for my swallow test all was good a little bit swollen but no leaks.

Unable to hold down fluids they ended up keeping me an extra day in the hospital. I came home still not able to hold dow much Fluid no matter how little I sipped how long I left in between times I always managed to throw up. I went back to the doctor on Monday and he sent me for IV fluids, well no luck with that either. I had to go back to the doctor on Wednesday and he put me in the hopital and hooked me back up to IV fluids. Two days ago they put in a picc line and are feeding me through this picc line. Tomorrow they will be going down my throat with a camera to see if they can see any thing else wrong.

I am getting so depressed. They did bring me some oatmeal this morning for breakfast ohhhhh yummy. gonna pray it goes down and stays down.

Please keep me in your prayers that i will be out of here soon. : )

You will always be in out prayers, you don't even have to ask. I wish you a speedy recovery on the losers bench!

I had my surgery late April and like you I have also returned to the hospital but for a different reason. I recently felt extremely bloated in the abdomen section after eating or sipping and even with time this feeling never subsided. So I rushed myself to my dr office where I've been since LAST saturday. After so many tests, they began to narrow the problem down to blood clots in my abdomen area.

Even though I've been here a week I managed to stay confident that this minor inconvenience would only be temporary and never permanent because the human body is a beautiful thing! So I will need you to feel the same. Stay positive at all cost because confidence also helps during recovery mode. It will ALWAYS be mind over matter.

Jimmy, How did I miss that you're having problems too? I'll definitely keep you in my prayers as well!! I hate to see people have blood clots, but it sounds like your doctors are right on top of it! Good luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
