PollyBlue got a reaction from ashleyxx in Hyperactive Pyloric ValveWow. Sorry I can't help, but good luck with this one. I'm interested in what other people have to offer.

PollyBlue got a reaction from JustSleeveMe23 in Determined But ScaredSorry I can't help with the photo upload, but I can tell you that this isn't a decision to take lightly. I have fleeting moments of regret when I want to scarf a bowl of pasta...but then I remember that it was exactly that behaviour that led me to obesity. Overall I love my sleeve, but it has taken me a couple of months to get to that point. I didn't have any complications, just a bit of reflux, but you do need to get your head around the fact that your eating habits will change FOREVER! This isn't just a quick fix "I'll lose weight then go back to normal" type "diet" - it is forever removing 80% of your stomach. When you REALLY understand all of that and accept it, you're ready for your new life - a new Wonderful life.

PollyBlue got a reaction from LouiseC in Discrimination :(Sometimes people just suck. Sometimes our interpretation of the behaviours of others can be egocentric - that is their behaviours have nothing to do with us and more to do with what other things are happening in their lives. I'm guilty of being hypersensitive....sometimes my skin is thicker than others. The older I get the more I can shrug off people being sh*ts ... and more often I attribute their behaviour to them having a bad day - something I decide not to be a part of. We've all experienced it and it is easy to be offended, but if those d*cks really are having a go, then they are probably not the types of people you want as friends. This situation is one where I am happy to say age (I'm 42) has been hugely beneficial. We are all loved by somebody for reason's deeper than a pretty face.

PollyBlue got a reaction from lunabella007 in What If People Treat Me Better As A Thin Person? It Would Make Me So Angry!Yes, they do treat me differently and it disgusts me. I was on a plane recently and when I needed to squeeze through to visit the loo people were kind and smiling and happy to adjust their stance so I could get through. Before, whien I was massive, I'd get eye rolling and lips curled in disdain. It's not just on planes, it is everywhere - shops, restaurants, just walking down the street. I am more confident, however I didn't consider myself hideous pre-weightloss - or deserving of general disdain. People can be so blatantly cruel.

PollyBlue got a reaction from got2bthin in Whats Better Sleeve Or Ru En Y?Go sleeve. It may/may not be as fast as sleeve, but in my opinion there are less risks in the short and long term.

PollyBlue got a reaction from raven8888 in One Week Post Op; I Have A StrictureHope eveything is going well for you now Raven. Things always seem worse at night, we tend to lose perspective (well I do anyway). Googliing medical stuff is a surefire way to send yourself into a panic - I do it all the time !
Good luck -things are always better during the day.

PollyBlue got a reaction from Allie ALii in Labs Abd WaterWater isn't usually a problem. In fact at my clinic they advise you to drink a lot of water for the 24 hours prior to taking blood because it makes it easier to locate veins!

PollyBlue got a reaction from healthiermeat40 in Bust Open My SleeveHi Everyone.
Hope all the gals enjoyed mother's day!
We had a little celebration and I did eat half a chicken schnitzel ( I know you read this Trisha!!LOL) and today I was feeling exceptionally hungry so I ate some broiled chicken breast. Too much of it. I found it hard to breathe afterward. It has settled down now, but it came up on me way too quickly. I'm six weeks post op and chewed really really well, but I'm wondering if I can bust open my staples doing this? Now I'm going to by lying awake all night wondering if I'm leaking all because I ate too quickly to notice the full signal! I'm really struggling getting used to the sleeve - something I thought would be so easy. Feeling so good now that I actually forget I have it and then BANG! YOU'RE FULL - WAY TOO FULL!
This has only happened twice, once with the schnitzel yesterday and again today with the chicken. I feel like a sabotaging fool, but it isn't deliberate. Thanks for your answers!
