  5. I bounce. Meaning that I go up and down all the time. Can't stress out about it. Now. If it's more like 10 lbs, then you should take a serious look at things but a few pounds is nothing to worry about at this point.
  6. Removal/revision here. First thing my husband said to me when I woke up was, "He did it! It worked." Thank GOD because I seriously did NOT want to have to do surgery again. I would have tho, had I needed too. I would NOT have had to jump thru all of the hoops again tho. It would have all been part of the removal and revision process. I would have had to do some classes but that would have just been a technicality. I wouldn't have needed to get re-approved.
  7. I was never told no gummies. My levels are all good. So I have no ideas for you.
  8. I can honestly say that I don't see what the point of a food funeral would be. I understand the concept but in reality, once you are fully healed and have progressed thru all of the steps your surgeon's guides will bring you thru, there really isn't much of anything you won't every be able to have again. Now, granted, there will be things that you just plain don't want anymore but that's totally different. I am finding that there are certain things I just don't want anymore b/c the thought of it or the taste of it has changed somehow but I'm really able to eat pretty much any thing. Save your money, and your guilt, for something more deserving of both.
  9. I was going to say chili as well. Another would be a thick bean soup/stew. Yumm!
  10. You will only be 2 days out from MAJOR surgery, you will be in NO shape to be going off to join them for the day of "festivities" OR be up for visitors!!! Hubby needs to become the gate-keeper and you need to rest and stay on your meds, in between sipping and walking. Trust me, this will be your full-time job at least thru the weekend! Best wishes on your surgery AND with your family!

  12. I'm 5 months out and have only had a small sip here and there. But of regular soda. I won't drink diet, not b/c of the carbonation but b/c of what's in it. I stopped all soda 4 1/2 yrs ago, even before my band surgery. It just doesn't hold any appeal for me anymore.
  13. Just go get a new one. You'll have to pay for it but just do it. No biggie.
  14. What about rice milk? Another thought, what if you added egg white protein to it? Wondering if that would thincken it up w/the alternative milks.
  15. All in one- removal/revision here. Best wishes!
  16. Kaiser Permanente is medical center/insurance all-in-one kind of thing. I am glad that you are taking your time with this and making sure this is what you are really wanting to do. Kaiser requires classes and appointments before granting the okay to proceed w/surgery. It's a whole process and I think a good one, even tho most of us just want to get thru it fast and be on the other side already! yale88, please do keep me posted. I didn't mean to scold. Sure sounds that way when I re-read what I posted! LOL!!! Sorry about that!

  18. Kaiser Fresno here. I'm a little different in that I am removal/revision. My band slipped. I did all the classes and stuff w/the band, nothing but an orientation w/my revision. It all had to happen too fast for that. The process I went thru the 1st time was much longer and more in-depth than what y'all do now. The process is worth it tho. Once you're done, you'll wonder why you thought it would take so long! Follow the rules, instructions, guidelines and you'll do fine. Don't be afraid to ask questions and listen carefully to the answers you're given. Best wishes on your journey!

  24. I've got an Rx for them. I've suffered for years. Call your doc's office and see what they say. Feel better.
