Week 4 Mushie/soft Food Ideas Needed.

Hey all, I just started week 4 and I am so through with purees. If i have to eat something like that again I hope im 90 years old. With that being said I am looking for ideas of soft stuff to eat that will be easy on the sleeve.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Roasted Zucchini with lite Ranch...

I keep wondering the same thing. I read some can only eat 1/5 of a cup of something where I can easily eat 1/2 cup of sweet potatoes! I have also tolerated everything I put on my mouth! I'm beginning to wonder if I was really sleeved <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I was advised we can fit more food in our sleeve because our stomach is not swollen anymore and as time passes we can now eat more.

I just baked some tilapia for my whole family..it only needed a bit of seasoning, you can even put lemon slices on while baking..its quick and easy. I made some steamed zucchini slices with it and rice for the hubby and son. I could only fit maybe half a filet and two zucchini slices minus the skin, but it was nice to have something that I could eat with my family.

Sauté fresh spinach in vegetable or chicken broth (I also threw in some garlic and shallot), when done add nonfat ricotta and a bit of Parmesan cheese and blend/purée with an immersion blender.

Spread puréed mixture in bottom of a small casserole pan and cover with prepared spaghetti sauce (no sugar added) and top with a little more Parmesan cheese. Bake until bubbly. Good for the puréed or mushy stage. I also sometimes add in a small bit of prepared pesto to kick up the flavor a bit.

Is a nice relief after all the sweet Protein shakes. My hubby says we'll use this recipe even after I back on regular food!

tried this...soooo good! my hubby and son had it on top of spaghetti.
