Is that a powder? Pill? I regret getting the Protein Shots now they are decorating my fridge. Smh, I brought 3 kinds so I'll at least try them but no luck so far. I'm looking for something that will give me the most Protein, with the least amount volume.

the myoplex is powder form or liquid both are good, i like the chocolate. Just to get extra Calcium i add it to silk soy milk and its really good. It is low in calories too ;) only 150 cals for two scoops of the powder. Also Pure Protein in the cans at the Vitamin Shoppe are good too. Avoid the muscle milk omg it is NASTY..... i suggest getting Biotin pills also for your hair you will be losing some. I lost ALOT ;( it is part of the side affects of the "malnutrition" we sleevers get. When did you have your surgery? I had mine in December on the 28th and im down 75lbs woot woot!!! lol long way to go but we can do it together.

Try freezing your Protein Shake. Maybe if you eat it like ice cream, it will go down smoother.

It is rough the first few weeks i ate a ton of sugar free popscicles and when i made it to full liqiuds i made really runny mashed potatoes and lived off that for a week or two and it was so good. I will never eat Jello ever again. Just hang in there it will get better. DONT over due it your eyes will be bigger than your stomach from now on over eating is misery.

Omg, i'm so paranoid of coughing, sneezing, and most of all barfing. So I normally take my liquids 2-4 Oz at a time. I've been doing the sugar free pops, shakes and Protein Shots along with liquids ie crystal light and Water. I've only just looked up what I could eat and found I had more more of a variety than I thought. I'm gonna try some thinned Soups maybe some cream of wheat thinned, and plain yogurt (something that doesn't just run thou me ). Hopefully that holds me until my puree stage I hope ...(man do I miss my sea food lol)

Protein Shots aren't good for you. Most of them are made with collagen as the Protein source, and collagen is not available to our bodies. So, you're forcing the nasty protein shot down and not getting any benefit from it. Wheetsin made an excellent post a few days ago about protein shots that I recommend for anyone who is considering taking them.

What about chicken broth? ? Unjury makes a Protein chicken broth that has 21g per scoop.Tastes pretty good too. I also brought their unflavored protein(20g per coop) which u can mix it into your crystal light/applesauce ect.

runny mashed potatoes lol was so good after not eating for weeks. But i agree Protein is tough but remember to drink lots of Water more protien and less water will damage your kidneys. Im not sure why my Dr hasnt asked me to come in for lab test etc but i just went in to my PCP and had kidney functions etc done to make sure all is good and for the first time in my life im slightly dehydrated so please make sure you keep an eye out on those kidneys :)

@Madison PA

I was reading up on unjury the other day but I don't know where I can find it. I'd be interested in buying some but don't know where to go.

PS, i'm also in PA :)

@IrishqN - I try to keep up with my liquids, because of the fear that something may go array with my kidneys...so def will do :)

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
