Thanks :) I hope that it does...find for the first time today I am hungry even though I've eaten. It probably is because I am used to having huge amounts to eat at night and not eat at all during the day. Plus there are less distractions at night...perhaps I will have to work a bit more lol...keep myself busy.

I am driving to the coast on Sunday (day before) as I have to work on Saturday - I've been trying to fit in all my clients at least once this month before I take three weeks off...it's hard!

Thanks to everyone for your support...it really does make a difference!

Cheers, Lila

Not long for you either Susie, wow 5 ltrs, you might find it hard to get in 1 after the op.

I did notice a increase in going to the toilet, there must be something in them that helps that, as it suppose clear your liver.

Omg girls, decided to walk 10 levels of stairs at work today and for a exercise that took possibly 15 minutes, I have never been in do much pain, my heart was going so fast and at the end, I was light headed, unsteady on my legs (still am 8 hrs out)!! I am going to do this 3 times a week such a great work out and heart rate perfect for weight loss. I started to struggle 2 floors up but just pulled myself up, then had to come back down.

Susie & Lila - time will fly by and before you know it you will be on the other side. It was about 2 days before op I started getting very anxious but surprisingly on day of op I was really calm and couldn't wait to have it done. As soon as I was wheeled into theatre, I was a bit shaky and then my sleep doctor asked how I felt then I was out, woke up 3 hrs later :)

Thanks Shellz :) I'd been going pretty well up until about 7pm. I'd had dinner and was feeling like, what that's it? I kept drinking Water hoping it would fill me and it did but oddly enough I am still h-ungry :( I've also started to get a bit of a headache which I'd avoided so far, so I think I'll try to have an early night and with luck, will put it behind me!

Lila, I had a throbbing headache for about 4 days straight on my Optifast and honestly struggled for the first week. 2nd week I got through no problems. Hang in there, it'll be over soon :)

Hi' date=' I was done on the 13th, so you're a bit further than me.

"nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". I say this to myself whenever I want something I used to love, so about 237,000 times a day. I may just get it tattooed on my wrist, like a rubber band you snap when you think about it. Hopefully once we get to eating normal food, we find we don't want crap anymore, like some of the others here.

Chin up. This too shall pass.[/quote']

Thanks ladies for all your replies . That's so true that's gonna be my new saying! Does anyone find when they drink fluids they feel sick or get the hiccups nearly every time I have something. I vomited last night not sure why . Could it be because I had a hemmrage a day after the surgery that's still effecting me?

Hi Lila, the headaches are normal, and mine passed after day 2. Just keep up the Water and i did rhe same as you and went to bed early to avoid picking. You could always have a bt more salad or vege or i found a stock cube in a cup of hot water reaaly took away that hungry feeling.

Don't stress. It will happen :) I was so worried about it too... How many coloxyl did you take? You can take up to 4 tablets. Go easy though cause next thing you will have diarrhea.

I had one bm on day 5, one on day 11 and again on day 15.

As long as your not in pain? just let nature run its course

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
