My insurance approved me today for surgery. I have to meet the surgeon on 5/17/2012. I am soooo Excited!

What should I expect now? I am a little confused about the whole process, but extremely happy it is moving FAST!!

I even stepped out on Faith yesturday before I knew and brought some chicken broth that I would need after surgery!

Aww Congrats!!! Now that you are approved, its all about fullfilling your suregon requirements. Pre op testing, getting prepared for any pre surgical dieting, etc! Now that you approved, your docotor should be able to give you a surgery date!!! Congrats!! And lets us know when you get your official date!!!

Way to go!!!! You will be so thankful once you have VSG! What's next depends on your Dr. Everyone I've seen/read about is somewhat different. Some require preop diet (mine didn't!) Some require mental health eval (mine didnt!) I did have to see NUT ONE time! Then wham bam, thank you ma'm, I was sleeved!!!!!!! Good luck to you! You will do great!

Well I already did the nut evaluation lol... nurtritionist, and bloodwork. I hope that the last step is meeting the surgeon....and BAM....I know they dont require any diet before so wel will see!
