Hi all,

I'm only just beginning the process of getting my band out and getting a sleeve. Can anyone say on average how long they waited before going back to work? I'm in a situation where I don't have many vacation days left (going on my honeymoon this week!). My supervisor and job overall are really great and understanding and will probably let me just go on disability for a week at most. I have a desk job where I don't do much labor but I do get up a lot to walk around and carry books/send mail (I work for a publisher). Any thoughts would be great...just doing research here I know everyone's recovery is different and I'm expecting at least a 3 day hospital stay...

I am a business owner, and I took just 7 days off, I had surgery on Monday and went back to work on the next Monday. I was in the hospital for 3 of those days....and flew home on Sunday to arrive at work on Monday!

I felt great, but moved a little slow....I have a desk job and could be as easy as I wanted to be....I had Soup for all my lunches and now I keep chicken or turkey lunch slices and a bag of cheese sticks in the office fridge. I bring strawberries and blueberries to work with me daily and sometimes a banana....this is my daily food intake at the office. I also swim on my lunch hour 3 x's a week.

It is super important to eat and drink during work hours or you'll go into starvation mode, so I always have something....
