Do you ever fill your bowl up or plate with something to eat and even go so far as to start eating and realize you had this surgery? And wonder 'how did I think I was going to eat all of this??'

I do all the time and this past weekend my father in law kept doing it. He still doesn't quite understand that I'm not eating because i can't! He gave me a giant bowl of mashed potatoes!

Yeah I still do it as well. And the funny thing is, we had support group at my surgeons and we all learned to cook a healthy meal then we got to eat, everyone of us besides 1 took way more then we could eat. They guy who didn't has been bypassed for 8 years lol. Think we all do it. A lot of leftovers haha.

At least once a week! I'll get out a plate and start putting on sleeve-sized portions, but then it morphs into me looking at the plate thinking I didn't put enough. I keep piling on the food still thinking that it's not enough, but when I go to eat it... Then I completely regret doing that, telling myself "why did you think you could eat that much?!" Ah, silliness. ;)

Definitely! We're going out tomorrow for our anniversary and I was perusing the menu at the restaurant we're going to, trying to figure out ahead of time what I wanted to order. I picked the appetizer, the entree, AND the dessert for both of us, and then I was like, "nevermind....I'll have 1/3 of my entree and we'll split a dessert and I'll be bursting at the seams!"

I forget myself when I drink. I'll start gulping, then stand there frozen, waiting for the pain to hit...... :o

Oh yeah. Yesterday I went to Taco Cabana and ordered a big brisket quessadilla. When it came I could only eat 1 triangle and 2 bites of the other. Why did I order a big one instead of a small is beyond me, habit I guess. I will be eating quessadillas for the next 3 days..lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
