How Much Did You Lose 1 Month Post Op

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, today is my 23rd birthday :) and it also marks 3 weeks out for me.. today i hit my first 20 lbs lost since surgery (not including pre-op) i was just wondering what everyone lost in their first month post op?? i still have a week left.. i was hoping to lose around 23-25 lbs total for month 1 i dont know if its doable or not considering i stalled for about 10 days.

I havent started exercising yet, my nurse practicioner told me i could do cardio but nothing else... did anyone else exercise in month 1? and if you did how much did u lose?

hi lovePink

The one thing we can all be sure of during our weight loss journey, is that we will lose weight differently.

some people will lose weight quicker than others (i.e. you men) some people will just have normal stalls, and others will lose at slow but steady rate. It will depend on your metabolism, excercise, and just stuff in general.

So trying to answer your question, I had lost 18 lbs after 3 weeks - which i was happy about. So moving right along, i think the weight you have lost is terrific, and once again, everyoe loses at their own pace - keep on keepon on.

continued best

kathy

Happy Birthday! I will be 4 weeks on Monday and have lost 16 pounds. I try to walk 2 miles a day but just started that this week. I did stall for a week and the scale finally moved 1 pound this morning :)

Happy Birthday! I'm one month and 4 days out and I've lost 30lbs since surgery. Just remember that everyone loses differently and experiences different things at different times. I never stalled, but that's not to say I won't, so my progress may slow. Hang in there, you're doing great!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
