Can I Just Live Off Muscle Milk Light Please?! =)

It has become really hard for me to stomach the protein shakes,so I tried muscle milk light a while back....YUMMMMM!!!! It goes down so good,my sleeve is lovin it! They are so darn expensive though! I have one for breakfast every morning after I get in my first 20 ozs of water...My problem is,when I try to eat like a bit of cottage cheese or soft chicken or something for lunch or dinner,I can't get enough down for it to be nutritionally good for me! And what I do get down keeps me so full for the rest of the day/night that it is hard to even get in the rest of my required liquids! Sooo here is my question: Can't I just live off muscle milk light and water for now? LOL Seriously though,I am thinking of just having a couple muscle milk lights a day,it would be 50 grams of protein,320 calories and 9 grams of fat! Then once I get that and my liquids in,I can try to eat something more solid. Idk,I think being 1 month out is a very confusing time, but I am enjoying learning more about my body and the signs it gives. Still love my new sleevie!!!! =))

They also have Light in vanilla where I live. It's only 100 calories and 15 g of Protein - perfect!

  • I think that's what a lot of people have to do in the beginning to get their protein in at first. It is very difficult to get all the protein in with food, or would require a lot of grazing. I may

I am about to start my 2 wk pre op diet and am about to start buying and trying some Protein. Can you tell me how much sugar the muscle milk has in it?

Also, other than unjury does anyone recommend any others brands??

I only drink the muscle milk light. It has 0 grams of sugar,20 grams protein,160 calories. I use Unjury, have tried a few store generic brands and hate them. I heard that Premier from Costco is good too. I am gonna try it soon.

the Muscle Milk Light I bought today has no sugar and 4 carbs.

Mmmm yummy,I love the chocolate. =) To me,it's not a thick as the Protein powder shakes. Hope you like it. I took one with me to my one month post-op and they were happy with it. =)

It is very good. Kind of sweet for me since I don't have a sweet tooth, but it has no sugar so i will get used to it! Good flavor.

I agree,it does have a good flavor but it a lil on the sweet side. Now,if I could just find some more flavors in light. =)

what are some good flavors? i have yet to start my pre-op diet, so id like to know what kinds of muscle milk i should try

I absolutely LOVE their light flavor Cafe Latte. It is coffee flavored. Cafe Latte is the only one though that has caffeine so it isn't a good choice for recovery. But, once you're healed (if you choose to ingest caffeine) it becomes breakfast with a kick. ;)

I tried the Chocolate Light and it had great flavor and very smooth, but tasted too sweet for me. I would like to try the Cafe latte though, but have never seen it.

I love the chocolate light. It's the only light flavored one I could find. =)

Has anyone tried the Muscle Milk Light powders ? More flavors. Are they as good as the RTDs?

Sorry about multipost..my DROID had a "smartphone moment" and U can't find a way to delete. : (

Absolutely nothing wrong with mixing supplements with solid meals in the first stages. I did this for the first 4 months post op, and I'm super healthy AND at goal. ;) You're quite lucky you have found something you completely enjoy... so do that - enjoy it!

Blessings.
