Trop 50 is good! I tried just a little because I too was craving it. It was before my leak was discovered but I have had a sip of bloody mary since my leak healed and it was fine!

jasleeve, Easy Mama!! :) You just got through one hurdle! :) I kwym about OJ, though. I love it. Too bad you aren't in FL, I'd share some of my favorite with you. It's bottled by Indian River Growers, but it's not sold outside of this area because it's not pasteurized or processed, so no preservatives in the juice. My aunt's ex-BF works for them and sometimes brings me by a bottle of the extra pulpy stuff they can't sell. I LOVE it! :)

I need to call Wayne, now that I've posted this!

Syntrax nectar makes an orange cream Protein drink. I add coconut Water and fresh squeezed oj (frozen into ice cubes) from my local HEB. Tastes BETTER then an Orange Julius tastes these days (when I was a kid orange julius was soooooo much better then it is now!) Granted, I am not yet sleeved, but this might help with the craving...

Syntrax Nectar orange cream nutritional info:

1 scoop

calories 110

carbs 2g

sugars 2g

Protein 23g

Hey Jas,

Crystal light puts out a orange sunrise that is tasty... maybe not so much acid to start with?

Ja- I love a CL strawberry, banana, orange I think it is... It's VERY yummy. I've also done the tropicana 50 post op. Just a few sips at a time is enough to take care of the craving. The small individual size bottle lasted me almost a week!

I love my Hubby's foodie friends - got a response to this question.

juice from mandarin and valencia oranges are much less acidic *but* that still may not help, because it depends on how much less you need. The advice ends there unfortunately since they have no experience in stomach surgery!

That's how I juiced my oranges. I left all the pulp in. It's more like chewing than drinking. Thank goodness my navel oranges seem to be mostly seedless. I have an old fashioned hand reamer and I'm too lazy to fish for seeds.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
