No Weight Loss Since Surgery

I really think the 30 lb drop is why it is stalling. You will break the stall. That is a large weight loss. Give this thing some time.

Some gain a lot of weight from the IVs, My guess is you are holding Water weight... make sure you are drinking lots of water, keeping the salt down, and go for Protein over carbs. Some low carb juices might be good, celery, cucumber, greens... green tea.... things that get the water moving out of the body. We just can't tell why the body does what it does sometimes... you are doing great, the body is just not ready to let go yet... my 3 week stall (at 2 1/2 weeks) lasted for weeks and then I started to lose again. Do move... tell your body its time to burn some of that fat! Also... measure now if you haven't... you may be losing inches. In fact, I bet you are. Are your pants falling off yet?

I'm scheduled for surgery on 2/29. Just curious you stated in your post that you are eating solid foods? Are you seeing a nutritionist? Mine won't have me eating solid food for awhile. Just curious?

Thanks for all the support guys... going to just keep doing what I'm doing and hope it all works out.

@Andi I'm not on FULL solids yet... my nut has a plan that starts with only liquids after surgery, and slowly adds more food every so often until 6 months out, when i can eat anything. I just graduated to toast yesterday :P

how is everyone doing at this point? I'm 3 weeks out, lost 31 lbs pre-op, lost another 25 immediately after and have actually regained 10 lbs since! IDK what I'm doing wrong. I don't think I am getting enough fluids or Protein but maybe too much in calories or sodium (since I feel myself retaining fluids). Talked to my doctors office a few days ago and they are not concerned....but I am. I'm working out although not back to my pre-surgery level yet. I'm very frusterated and thinking I'm going to go back to focusing on the liquids and hope for the best with the Proteins. :(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
