My Surgery Is Tomorrow Morning

I have to be at the hospital at 9:30... its crazy how much the nerves are really starting to affect me...many times today i thought about not even going tomorrow...i've been on all liquids today and im so happy that all i had to do was 24 hrs and not two weeks like some of u because I AM DYING. i am so hungry, i've been chewing things and spitting them out, which i know is so wrong... idk what to do.. i feel like i am not ready for this, i know if i dont do it though, things will just get worse from here on out... Im so nervous. I wish these feelings would just go away. please pray for me!!

  • I am home now and my surgery was 2/3/12. Everything went well according to my surgeon, my surgery was a little longer than he expected because I had a hiatal hernia he repaired while he was in there

  • MINE IS TOMORROW TOO!! Scheduled @ 7:30am, I have been nervous pretty much all day long, even though I am thoroughly educated on the proccedure and process ( I'm a nurse). Statistically it is safe, l

so i just got a call from my surgeons office wanting to know how everything has been going so far... i told her that i've been coughing up a lot of mucous and my chest sort of feels heavy.... they want me to go to the ER. Sooo thats where i'll be heading in a little while. i hope i dont have pnemonia. i feel like ****. this is not good... wasnt hoping to be back in the hospital so soon. weighed myself this morning and im down 6 lbs from surgery. blah....

Sorry you are going through this. No one wants to go back to the hospital so soon. Praying for you that this will pass.

Congrats ladies on getting sleeved, and thank you for checkin in to let us know how you're doing. lovePINK I hope all is well and perhaps just a little Rx of antibiotics will help clear up the chest. It's super important to do the breathing exercises post op, for anyone else reading this.

Good luck to all in the upcoming world!!

Thanks. I sort of think it could be due to the fact that I haven't used the spirometer since leaving the hospital but also I've been having respiratory issues since coming out of anesthesia... I blame it on the dilaudid. I had the same reaction 3 yrs ago when they gave me dilaudid after my c-section... Felt like I couldn't breathe. They put me on oxygen cuz my pulse ox kept dropping to 84 every time I went to sleep & I have no history of sleep apnea. Ugh. I just hope this all gets better soon.. On top of my health brings crappy, my child's father is acting like an ass refusing to watch our daughter while I go to the ER.
