6 Days Post-op, Is It Ok To Take Nyquil For Cold?

So my post-op recovery has been nearly perfect - and then last night I come down with a nasty head cold. I took a 1/2 dose of Nyquil before I took the time to consider if that was a good idea or not... it kind of burned going down. I know we can't take aspirin/ibuprofin type things after surgery, but I've never heard anything about Nyquil. Does anyone know if it's ok this early after surgery?

I am not sure if it is okay but, honestly I would NOT do it. Along with other things Nyquil has a lot of alcohol in it and this early on you do not need that in your tummy. Think of it like a baby's tummy - it needs time.

Have some chicken broth with some extra frest strained out garlic - that will help your cold :)

Take care,

Sandy

I agree, if Nyquil burns going down, it's definitely going to be harmful to your baby tummy. Drink as much water as you can to wash it away. Get healthy! ;)
