  1. It's totally normal to be nervous... I was having doubts right up until they put the IV in my arm and wheeled me off, but I can honestly say that I have no regrets whatsoever! Good luck, and welcome to the loser's bench!
  2. Good luck to you - and welcome to the loser's bench!
  3. Welcome to the loser's bench!
  4. Ha, ha! You crack me up! But I totally get it - I was the same way, especially in the first 3 or 4 mos post op. But the good news is that it does get better, and you won't be so obsessed the farther out you get
  5. Congrats to you - 12/27 was my surgery date last year! One thing that comes to mind is to take your measurements before surgery, I wish I had done that so I would have had another way to track my progress other than just the scale. Let me know if you have any questions!
  6. Congrats and welcome to the loser's bench!
  7. Do you weigh yourself every day? Maybe it would help if you only weigh in once a week (I know, easier said than done, right?!) You are doing awesome
  8. I had a pedi before surgery as well - no problems!
  9. I think every woman on here can relate to what an awesome thing that is! Yay for you!
  10. That's so funny because I also remember being so excited to NOT be able to shop at Lane Bryant anymore - since their smallest size is 14 and I'm currently in 10's or 12's, I can finally cut up that LB credit card once and for all!
  11. Very exciting! Good luck to you and let me know if you have any questions before the big day
  12. I'm doing great - no problems whatsoever I had Dr Jeffrey Baker at Unity Hospital in Fridley - where are you having yours?
  13. Hello, 612belly - I'm in MN and 7 mos post op, but I would love to offer any help I can!
  14. We're all here for you - good luck and keep us posted!
  15. Everybody is different, of course, but I had very little pain after surgery - would do it again in a heartbeat!
  16. I remember in the beginning I pretty much always ordered a cup of soup, and that always worked out well
  17. Congratulations - that is very exciting!! Enjoy it
  18. I totally agree with you hm734 - the Premier shakes from Costco are the only ones that I like. I'm 6 mos post op now and I still drink them about 4-5 times a week, they're even better mixed with half a banana or other fresh fruit I also mix them with ice to make them really cold!
  19. I totally agree with you, LouiseC - the positives SO outweigh the negatives... it's a no-brainer!
  20. I've tried several brands and my all-time faves are still the Zone Perfect bars (chocolate mint and chocolate peanut butter), and the best thing is they are easy to find. I always pick up a few boxes every time I'm at Target
  21. Congrats to you, Allie! As far as the clothes issue, have you checked out any consignment shops (or Goodwill) in your area? I had never set foot in any place like that before, but I refused to spend tons of money for clothes that I would only wear once or twice, so I checked them out and was completely blown away. I have been going about once a month and every time I come out with a bag full of clothes for like $20.00 - it's crazy! I highly recommend checking them out
  22. This is very helpful = thank you!
  23. Thanks for the info, Michelle - I'm gonna have to do some more research
  24. Hi, guys I've seriously been thinking of investing in the BodyBugg or BodyMedia Fit - can any of you who have tried one of these give me your opinion as to whether it made a noticeable difference on your weight loss, etc.? Thanks!
  25. So happy for you - enjoy it!!
