  1. LOL! Don't feel bad, I didn't know at first either - and I also couldn't understand what they meant when people referred to "Onederland".
  2. Funny you should ask - I just had one the other night where I called my Dr the night before surgery to tell him I've changed my mind and can't go through with it!! Not good!
  3. Ohhh, I'd say it's very normal - my surgery date is 12/27 and the closer I get the more I'm freaking out... but I look at it as taking a leap of faith. I have trust in my surgeon, I'm healthy in every other way besides being overweight, and probably every person on here who has already had surgery felt the same way, so I'm forging ahead! Good luck to you and all the rest of us pre-sleevers!
  4. How cool is that? I can't wait to have my first NSV!
  5. I just subscribed to both of you on YouTube - I've only done one video so far, it's very uncomfortable for me but I really want to document my journey so I'm going to force myself to do them!
  6. Thanks BettyBoop - I know you are right. I think the nerves are just starting to set in since I'm getting close to my surgery date.
  7. Ok, I'm starting to freak out a little... my surgery date is 12/27 and I'm seriously wondering if I should back out? If I only lost a little bit of weight after surgery I'd be beyond frustrated, too
  8. Hello, sister sleever! I think a lot of people feel that way, that's way they gain weight before surgery For me, as much as I would have loved to eat everything in sight before surgery, I knew I had to lose that 13 lbs pre-surgery so it's forced me to keep it in check. And since my Dr doesn't require the 2 week pre-op diet I knew I had to kick it into high gear to get those lbs off. There's no way I'm going to take the chance of showing up for surgery and having it be delayed because I hadn't lost the required amount of weight. Too risky!
  9. Yay, Donniej! Yes, I will now consider you my sleeve brother (love that!) Just think, three weeks from now we'll be sleeved
  10. Welcome, Bcole! I'm fairly new to this site as well, with a surgery date of 12/27 so I'll be right behind you
  11. Congrats to you, peace queen - I know you've been waiting for this for a long time! And... you and I have the same surgery date!
  12. That's a good way to look at it - my date is 12/27! I'm still nervous as well, but not enough to let it stop me from going through with it! No way! :biggrin2:
  13. I think it just depends on the surgeon as I'm pretty sure no one would do the 2 week pre-op if they didn't HAVE to! :banghead: My surgery date is 12/27 and I just need to do liquids the day before, but my surgeon does require all patients to lose a minimum of 10% of your excess weight prior to surgery.
  14. Can I be on the LilMissDiva team, too??? I get sleeved Dec 27 :biggrin5:
  15. it's official - my surgery date is 12/27! I met with my surgeon today and I just loved him - any concerns I had before are now gone, which is such a relief. I could have scheduled it sooner but it just works best for me with taking work off to do it at the end of the month. Even though it's still 4 wks away I'm fine with that, I think it will go by fast with everything I have to do for Christmas. Looks like I'll be one of the last ones to get sleeved in December! Whoo hoo!
  16. Hello, everyone - I'm excited to find this thread so I can be part of the other December sleevers! I have all my insurance requirements met but do not have my surgery date yet, but they tell me it will for sure be by the end of December :hurray:

My question is - where did you get the Phentermine? I would love to be able to take it just to help me drop the 12 lbs off that I need to get off before surgery... I had taken Phen/Fen a long time ago and loved it even though I was only on it for a month or so before it got yanked off the market (just my luck!) I get those weird emails saying you can still order the original Phen/Fen from online Mexican pharmacies, etc. but I'm afraid they are just a scam so I don't even bother. Maybe it is legit? Does anyone know for sure?
  18. Hello - I'm a newbie to this forum and am in the very beginning stages of the pre-op process. The one thing that has me a little unsettled about VSG is that it's so permanent, and not knowing what kind of problems there might be 20 or 30 yrs from now. I just started finding information online about a Gastric Plication surgery that seems like it does basically the same as the Sleeve but where they don't actually remove the stomach. Does anyone know anything about the Plication? I'm starting to wonder if that would be a better choice? Thanks!
