5 Days Post Hard Finishing A 16 Oz Bottle Water Help

Recommended Posts

I feel that I'm starting the phase of dehydrating, my urine is starting to darken and have a slight smell to it. I don't feel thirsty or dehydrated yet but Im scared I'm not getting enough fluids for the first week. I try to have a bigger sip but my stomach won't allow me to swallow that much so I'm taking in a lot of very small sips but it's taking too long and I can't even finish this bottle yet.

If you're getting dehydrated, then you need to let the Dr. know. If you wait too long that could be dangerous. I know it is hard to drink right now, but the key is to sip all day long. You need to start early to get all your Fluid needs in. But, I think you need to call your Dr also. Good luck.

I'd let your doctor know. The first few days for me I would chew ice chips and popsicle. For some reason doing those things were just easier for me then sipping. Also try doing different temperatures.. Ice cold, hot tea, room temperature.... I have found that at different times different temperatures work better for me. Also, if you are allowed it try Jello. Those are all items that aren't "liquid" but count as fluids. Good luck!

Adding Crystal Light or Propel to Water can help a lot. Plain water is sometimes hard for me even 2,5 months out. I still use a lot of sugar free popsicles to bolster my liquids.< /sub>

Try drinking some g2 gatorade it helps with the dehydration.

I still have difficulty getting Water down. I drink low calorie gatorade, water, light cranberry juice, Protein Drinks, and hot original tea, Decaf. Gatorade has a tendency to bother my stomach. Water also bothers my stomach. I just keep on drinking. ;)

I drank one ounce every 15 minutes while I was up. I watched the clock and used a measuring cup as my pitcher and a shot glass or a one-ounce medicine cup as my drinking cup. It took the whole 15 minutes to finish the ounce because I had to take small sips, but breaking it down and measuring it helped me get in my 64 oz. every day until I could take bigger sips.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
